Hands down, the best coffee and staff I've encountered at a coffee shop. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledge who are willing to answer questions about their variety of coffee, tea, etc options. Cozy atmosphere and great prices!

The coffee is amazing and so is the staff. Super down to earth and were happy to answer all my questions. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is a coffee "nut". Great ambience and the music was good too.

The best tasting, least expensive, locally roasted coffee Milwaukee has to offer. Period.

My "weekend coffee" is a Dark Chocolate (from Indulgence Chocolatiers!) Sea Salt Mocha with whole milk and oh my goodness it's heaven!! I also highly recommend a latte with almond milk and honey! Best coffee in Milwaukee - no question!

The best coffee beans in Milwaukee. Bali Blue Moon is my go-to. I'm not a huge fan of the pour-over service, and definitely would drop in more if they had a grab-and-go option.

Great locally brewed coffee. This is the only coffee that I've been buying to brew at home for a while. Really nice local "working class" vibe without the MacBook dbags found at Starbucks. People do work on laptops here but will usually acknowledge you when you pass by.

While visiting family in Milwaukee, we came across Valentine Coffee at the Mitchell conservatory farmer's market. The impressively bearded and friendly fellow manning the pour overs was more than happy to discuss coffee and give recommendations. I was interested in buying a couple of pounds of espresso (I do this in every city I visit), but didn't have cash on me. Fortunately, the cafe was just a few miles away.

The cafe/roastery is a small, modern space. With a relatively short counter equipped to handle your order, pull some espresso and fiddle with a few pour overs, the workspace for four people was compact. Add a half dozen tables and a merch wall, and you've squeezed (squozen? squeezeled?) as much efficiency out of a storefront as you can get.

The sea salt mochas we all had were outstanding, comparable to the best third wave shops I've been to across the U.S., and the staff were delightful. A weak point for many third wave shops is that hipsters tend to be aloof/paralyzed with social anxiety when confronted with the public. Not these guys! They even look you in the eyes when they talk to you.

Finally, the espresso blend I bought was run through my home setup this morning. Excellent: sweet, with a bit of a graham cracker aftertaste. Not as assertive as they bill it (it disappears in milk), but without a trace of bitterness.

All in all, a great place - great people, a lovely space, and excellent coffee. Five stars.

These guys are coffee nerds. Had it for the first time at the Domes farmers market and I had to have more. We've got plenty of beer microbreweries here, but this place is the coffee brewery that I'll come back to.

Oh and did I mention that the coffee is amazing? I'm a sucker for single pour.

Wow I loved this place! I thought my latte was perfect and I ended up buying more than I thought I was going to including some treats and a cute sticker! I can’t wait to go back!

Upside: The staff is friendly and different selections of coffee & teas
Downside: The seating area is quite small for my taste. Not suitable if you want to read or study, and it an be quite loud at rush times.
