Scooter's Coffee

The coffee is is very good, the menu changes with the seasons, and the staff are super friendly and worth stopping by for.

Decent coffee and good service. Tried to use a promo here and when I told them we were using it, the manager grabbed my phone in an attempt to show me how to use it. I already knew how to, reward was used with no issue. Super awkward for the manager of a store to assume we didn’t know what we were doing and grabbing my personal device during a pandemic. Not going back after providing feedback and the manager made excuses like saying other coffee shops had covid. No thanks! I prefer my no contact coffee, even if it is corporate. They did give me a credit which will go unused. Own your mistakes and apologize instead of making excuses. No more scooters for me.

I went twice, once in the late afternoon and once for breakfast.

I’ll start with the positive. The coffee is descent. Not great, not bad.

Both times I had a latte with flavoring. The first cup the milk was badly over-steamed, but once I let it cool, it was still drinkable. The second time, they prepared the wrong drink but were very courteous in fixing the order.

Now for the bad. The food is simply awful. Both times I tried their muffins. The first was a supposed lemon poppyseed which contained no visible poppy seeds and had no flavor. It had been microwaved though I didn’t request that, which made it mushy.

The second trip, I had a blueberry muffin with almost no blueberries. It was not microwaved this time, though it should have been.

It almost certainly had been recently thawed. It had all the flavor and texture of chalk. Terrible.

Sadly, it gets worse. I ordered a bagel sandwich with sausage egg and cheese. I can verify there was sausage, whose flavor was overwhelmed by what I can only assume was a jalapeño cheese whiz of some kind. I saw no egg.

The “bagel” was not toasted but went straight to microwave where it nuked into a mushy submission. Inedible.

All in all, a very disappointing place. I was hopeful that the fact they sell breakfast sandwiches would help distinguish them from the many (better) cafes in Madison, but no.

Because their location is handy for me, I may go again for coffee but count me out for their food.

Always amazing coffee and staff! I literally drive 20 minutes across town to get Scooter's coffee, even though there are several other coffee shops within 1 mile from my office. They are easily my favorite!

Extremely pleasant staff. Hot "Caramelicious" was very good, added a shot to boost the coffee flavor. Great first visit.

Great food and amazing people! Love their everything bagel sandwich.

Top-notch experience so far. Convenient location, quality beverages, and friendly staff.

One word: caramelicious. Basically a drinkable candy bar.

Overall a little more catered toward the drive-through operation, but the interior is still suitable enough for hanging out. Just don't have a club/lounge in mind. Enjoy an understated, calm environment.

Finally got a chance to stop by here today for some coffee. Given the temp, I ordered cold-brew ($4). I don’t know if it was just a bad batch, but it was extremely bitter. Cold brew should be rich, but with a sweet note and no bad aftertaste. I don’t know if they were out of cold brew and just gave me some bad iced hot coffee or what, but I wasn’t impressed and probably won’t be back.

You can actually taste the coffee unlike the Starbucks down the street. I appreciate they are open longer hours. Try to go everyday after work around 7-730pm. Staff is fast, friendly and efficient. Bye bye Starbucks...

I am addicted! Love this place and their espresso blenders and their cake pops! My son asks to go here everyday for their "lemonade at the coffee shop."
