Michelangelo's Coffee House

For college students, this coffee shop is a hidden gem. It’s at the end of the long stretch of coffee shops on State but that means it’s just a bit quieter and caters more to the Capitol crowd. I’d love to come back, when I have enough time to make the trek.

Huge menu of diverse coffee drinks. Cool art on the walls and friendly staff. A little worn out feeling — definitely a 90s coffeehouse vibe and could use some updates. Bathrooms need a refresh, they just felt a little dingy. Good coffee though, which is probably why you came.

great staff, great food, great coffee, and the best service and atmosphere. There is a reason that Michelangelo’s was voted best college town coffeehouse in the US 2022 it was deserved. Come in and check it out for yourself, I highly recommend!

Wonderfully accommodating and friendly service, plentiful seating both indoors and out, and a litany of coffee beverages and treats from which to choose. Not the place for a single-origin pour-over, but certainly the place to try creative coffee creations and relax. There are also a handful of public transit stations naught but several meters away.

Always a wonderful place. Huge array of excellent pastry. The Turkish Latte (has cardamom) is a favorite. Definitely an always hopping place.

Worst raspberry cream cheese croissant that I’ve ever had. $4 and the thing was days old and freezer burnt. Took three bites and threw it out. What kind of a coffee shop doesn’t open until 8am?

Great place to get a sweet treat and a coffee. They have a ton of flavors, too. I haven’t tried their food, but it’s a good option if you plan to work there.

People usually respect it as a peaceful rest/study area, but not always. The chocolate cake is great with coffee, and the coffee isn't the best but its pretty good. Staff is respectful as well.

Awesome selection of specialty drinks. Very friendly and energetic (read: well-caffeinated) staff. Order the peanut butter mocha and it was fantastic. The space is a little tight, but most coffee shops are. Overall excellent experience. I will definitely be back soon.

So many different coffee combinations, all brewed fresh <3 when the line is out the door and you can smell it from outside you know it has to be good, mind you we went for Halloween weekend. There was a longer wait than at say Starbucks. But the price and quality were with it. They have a good selection of teas there and a full array of pastries and cakes.
