They offer a small selection of sandwiches and salad. Their daily lunch special is usually a pretty good deal. Decent coffee and pastries. Food service is rather slow (waited around 10-15 mins for my Pulled Pork Sandwich today), so if you are in a hurry (especially during the lunch hours), I would not recommend Aldo's. Good cafe on the south west corner of the campus.
This place is good in terms of coffee, but their teas are meh. I once tried their Mediterranean veggie sandwich and it was disgusting. Very overpriced!
In line at 10:58, ordered avocado toast at 11:01 and wasn’t allowed to order because it is considered a breakfast item and it was past 11. You would think you would care more about customer service than 1 minute in the kitchen??? So much for a healthy vegetarian option. I won’t be back.
I've always wanted to like Aldo's since it's so conveniently located, but sadly the food has really gone downhill over the years. The breakfast is universally bad (with the exception of the bagels, but they get those from Gotham bagels so you might as well just go there). Pretty sure they precook all of the "eggs" (are they eggs or box mix? The strange square shape makes me wonder) and just let them get cold and soggy until people order something. Today I got the bacon/turkey/avocado sandwich, which had a tiny fragment of bacon about one inch long on one half, and zero bacon on the other. So they might want to rename it the turkey/avocado sandwich instead. Additionally, the food is quite expensive for what you get. I've given 2 stars instead of 1 because they still have the best coffee in the surrounding area, and because the clam chowder is still good. I'd stick to coffee and avoid the food though.
I first rated this place 5 stars, but then realized they change the menu far too often. You might find something you like, but it will likely not be there when you go back. They're too focused on being trendy. Also, changing the menu makes the line super slow.
Their sandwiches are microwaved. The bagels are store bought frozen bagels and the hand you a small container of store bought cream cheese. It's pretty pathetic. The service is extremely slow even if it isn't busy. They use an out dated paper system that cripples this business. Coffee is decent but everything is a dollar too expensive
Excellent. Of the myriad lunch places that have opened in the neighborhood recently, this is the superior choice. The food is well thought out. Ask for the cookies with the orange zest. They get coffee from Just Coffee, and Aldo's pays attention to freshness parameters.
Let me set the scene, dear readers. I've only ordered a coffee and maybe a danish. They have always been pretty good if not a bit pricey, but it is the best cup of coffee on campus. So today, I was confident that breakfast would be decent. NOPE. The wrapped huevos rancheros were atrocious. First, the pre-made , square yellow sponge that resembled egg was the tragic hero of this meal. Followed by direct-from-can black beans with zero seasoning and some cheese (no complaint there) as ineffectual co-stars. But the surprise tragic ending were the fritos. FREAKIN' FRITOS in my breakfast burrito. Fritos for breakfast, people. Morale: skip breakfast at Aldos.
The Greek Salad is to die for. I love the dressing!! So fresh and healthy! My only complaint is that they always run out of cookies every day by 2 or 3pm. Every single day it seems. I don't know why they don't fix this...

Coffee is good, but their 24oz cold cup is actually only 20oz, I measured with a graduated cylinder
