West's Hayward Dairy

Loved it! A small scoop is bigger than your head, and they have clever Northwoods themed flavors like "Birch Bark" (spoiler: it's not really made of wood) and Church Basement Lemon Bar". Definitely worth a trip into town.

Delicious craft ice cream. So many flavors you'll have to make multiple trips.

They were great to make sure my shake would be gluten free. The were really careful about cross contamination. I was impressed. Real good service and great ice cream.

I love coming here during the summer to get some ice cream to cool off a bit. They have plenty of options of different flavors to chose from.

There is better ice cream, but not in Hayward.
The place is an institution. Been going there since the 60's!

Ice cream maybe ok but never ask for a malted as they dont know the difference between malted and a shake. When I told the clerk that I ordered a malted he inf o888 rmed me there was no difference. Guess he needs to go to Braums Moo Cow College.. Malts should be thick and malty. Able to eat with a spoon as it melts go through straw. Shakes running able to drink or through the straw. Needless I wasted my money on there "malt"

This place is delicious. I may be slightly lactose intolerant but I mean come one we all gotta live 😂 10/10

The variety of flavors is unbeatable

Iconic icecteam place in Hayward. Very nice staff and service. I just don't understand why there is always ice crystals in my icecream! 🤔

I ordered a sundae and asked for the usual Sundae toppings and the manager or whoever the kid taking my order asked, said that he wouldn't be able to do all the toppings and looked at me like I was crazy. The kid taking my order was nice but it's expensive and you don't get a whole lot for your money.
