MarketPlace Foods Grocery Store Hayward

Bright and cheerful store. Had just what I needed. Reasonable prices.

I always forget to review, but I just wanted to say how happy I and many others I speak to are about the Sushi being at staple at our Marketplace. It's always so fresh and beautiful, and SO tasty!!!

I am impressed. Grew up out here and used to have to go to Ashland for big grocery shopping. Not any more. Great selection, great value, and the thickest cut stakes you've seen packaged in a grocery store. Would still suggest going to one of the specialized places for extremely high quality cuts of meat but you can get everything here and not have to go to wally world.

Went into market place on my break to get something for lunch at 8pm. They had 1 checkout open no self checkouts open and the line was moving at a sloths pace and the line is wrapped around to the self checkout area. REALLY? Open the self checkout!!! Needless to say I’m waiting in McDonald’s drive through to get lunch 🤦‍♀️

Huge store with an extensive selection of grocery items for a town of 2,500. Great beer selection and a more than adequate wine selection. Courteous staff. Plenty of parking.

We were staying in the area for the week. This was a good place to get our favorite meal items and supplies. Good produce and meat selection.

Very nice clean organized grocery store with pharmacy and coffee shop. Workers are very friendly and helpful. Has everything I need.

Normally this is the best place to food shop in Hayward, and I'm hoping I just caught them on an off day. Selection was terrible. Many if the selves were very sparse, bakery was completely picked over and there was nobody behind the counters. Liquor/beer department is, and always has been great, especially their selection of Angry Minnow beers. Summer weekends should be a priority for restocking, and this weekend definitely was not. Hope this was just a one off.

Big store for groceries and liquor. Hugh selection.
