Terra Café

Today I went to Terra cafe for the third time and two out of three visits were very unpleasant. My first visit was bad because baristas were basically acting like I was troubling them. I wanted to know about their sweet treats and they were so unwilling to help. I gave up and didn’t order any desserts. The other time when I went, first of all, a lady literally shooed us from the patio bcuz it was for “dine in only” she literally yelled from the other side as soon as we stepped in saying “guys this is dine in only” with a hand gesture. Anyways, we left. But then I tasted my coffee. I had an Americano. God, it was so bad. At first I thought something was wrong. Either the water wasn’t right temperature, or I got the wrong order because it tasted like acidic plain water. I went back in and asked what this is, someone from behind the counter said it is an Americano. I said it does not taste like it, it is so diluted down. She said Americano is an espresso with hot water. I said I know what an Americano is and this does not taste like it. She looked at it and she asked if there is cream in it. I said no and she replied looks like it has cream. She made me another one but it tastes exactly the same. I couldn’t even take a sip. I guess they are using tap water and not the right temperature and pressure bcuz as you can see from the picture, it shouldn’t look like this. The only time I got an ok service was when I went there with my boyfriend. He ordered our drinks, I just waited next to him. They were very kind and warm. I wonder if my non-American accent is making them treat me like this? This place is using local sourced everything. That is why I want to support them but they are way too arrogant and rude. I think they only want to serve to a select group people who fit their criteria.

We love Terra! Best vegetarian menu in town and the patio is great to sit on in warm weather. Location is also great when you have kids because you can just go across the parking lot to a playground.

So glad we found this place! We stopped by for the first time for the Sunday brunch.

Happily, I was able to put together a plate from the sides menu that ended up being a wonderful breakfast that met all my burdensome dietary restrictions. My husband had the breakfast burger with potatoes and he said it was really good.

My plate of sides: the house-made chicken sausage was really tasty (and spicy, which I loved), the potatoes were perfect, the sautéed veggies were nice and fresh, and the eggs were cooked just as I like them and were clearly quality eggs. The coffee was great, too. No need to add anything to it — a nice roast, unembellished.

I also had a great chat with some of the staff about their beautiful baked goods, and was able to take home three treats I can eat. I was over the moon!

When we visit WV again, we will eat here — and recommend it to our friends as well. Thanks!

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I would leave more stars if possible! Every time I stop by, my usual Americano is crafted to perfection, and the food is equally delicious. Check out this place if you’re in the area, you’ll love it! :)

I liked the veggie reuben and my wife enjoyed her veggie burger. We both shared a cupcake for dessert. A negative worth addressing is their use of an 18% default tip when using a credit card. I like to use the tip jar, but I tip for their particular service, which is taking your order and delivering it to you. Everything else, including busing your own table, is up to you. So, when you pay, look carefully at the tip if you are using a credit card.

Loved the location and the food! Pretty good but the sweets were a bit too sugary to me. I loved my beef chimichurri sandwich! Also nice place to study if you need it.

One of a kind in town. High quality, healthy and tasty options with an outdoor patio (even winterized). Soups of the day and specials are almost always a solid choice.
