I ordered 2 macchiato's through grubhub and when they arrived one was a water substance no coffee what so ever the other was a espresso something. The cups were 1/3 full of whatever really not sure what it was. So disgusting I had to throw away. We contacted store they did give money back thats why I am giving it a 1 star. The lovely Owner of this business didn't like this review so she decided to look me up on Facebook and send me this nasty message which I am posting with my pictures. A owner that will look you up to insult you personally is pretty scary. Be careful walking in this establishment or just pretend to like the "coffee" in front of her its really hard to tell what length she is willing to go to.
We were on a road trip to North Carolina and we stopped here. The staff was very kind and flexible with us based on our dietary restrictions/preferences. They made us a custom tea latte with a tea bag and steamed almond milk. My mother was ecstatic to find out that the barista had included espresso in the tea latte. Such a creation is a daring move but the drink was good. I ordered a Void. My drink was likewise delicious. The baristas conversation with us. It was an overall great experience. I hope to be able to visit again sometime.
Every time I'm in the Charleston area I make sure to stop at Void for my morning coffee. The staff is superb and creative, the coffee is on point, and the atmosphere has a minimalist quality that I love. It's one of the staple businesses in Elk City that's making a change for the better in their neighborhood. Charleston and West Virginia in general need more businesses like Void. It's locally owned and operated so locally care about it.
The owner's years of experience shine through into a carefully considered and meticulously made final product. Their choice to use Lamplighter coffee is wonderful because it is a different coffee than you'll find anywhere else in WV. I know because my wife and I have visited over 70% of WV coffee shops. I don't know anything about coffee bean strains or the roasting, but this is different. The primary beans are not oily, as they are lighter and have a slightly fruity, acidic snap that pairs perfectly with milk foam. I can't stress that this is a unique coffee experience enough. I'm most excited to see what VØID turns into as Ms. Kidd continues to see success. She is somebody who dreams big and then executes her dreams. Charleston has a great thing that is only bound to become a West Side staple.
I’ve been involved in speciality coffee for many years, and must say Void goes above and beyond! From the quality of their beverages, to the atmosphere, and all the way up to how friendly the owner and employees are, Void is a must visit! It’s refreshing to see something so progressive and welcoming in West Virginia.
An environment perfectly designed for productivity. No frills, very clean, and brightly lit by very large windows.
The coffee is a treat, from Richmond Virginia's Lamplighter Coffee Roasters. The shop owner and lead barista is extremely knowledgeable and kind-hearted--always welcoming. The menu is fresh and modern, but the traditional coffee shop stapels are also available. Additionally, Void has become a burgeoning space for artistic expression. Shop Owner Bridgette Kidd aspires to see her space become the kind of welcoming inclusive space for the arts she herself hoped existed in Charleston in her youth. She has seen that vision through. It is a treat when she opens the shop for an evening music performance, when she has local organizations rent the space for meetings or presentations, and when she collaborates with traveling artists/activists to present mind-expanding work within the shop.
Great little spot. As mentioned already, WiFi is speedy and the environment is relaxed. The aesthetic in the restaurant is really on point and the coffee mods are mysterious and delicious. Great for travelers, creative-sorts, or as stop over for a coffee date. Nice addition to Charleston.
This place is Fantastic! The coffee was surely tasty, memorable and reminded me of something Jordan Schlansky would appreciate even in the states. Will be returning over-and-over again I'm sure. VOID IS my coffee company and Howard Schultz is my uncle!
A wonderful inventive coffee shop with the best coffee around. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I visit often on the weekend and have tried several different drinks. All of them were delicious. Seriously good coffee.
Coffee was great. The atmosphere is chill and the the WiFi is very fast (much faster than S-Bucks). Coffee is also priced very reasonably. Support local businesses and write your screen plays here.

Highest recommendation possible from this local.
