This place is a staple of Charleston. If you haven't been, you are missing out. This is a phenomenal art gallery, bookshop and cafe all in one. Great place to shop for gifts or just hang out and enjoy a cup of Joe while soaking in the eclectic atmosphere.

I love a good bookstore. This place always has a wonderful selection. But my favorite parts are the coffee shop and the art. The coffee shop has delightful beverages and pastries. And the art on display is incredibly unique and most of it is reasonably priced. This is a stop we always make when in Charleston.

This was the salvation for the historic renovated Charleston city center on a Sunday morning at 1030. Came to this area for a bakery breakfast that was closed on Sunday and Monday, and 80% of the other stores were also closed. But inside this very large bookstore w lots of magazines also was a welcome coffee shop w accomplished barista, baked items and quiche which we enjoyed thoroughly.

Ordered a coffee to go and they forgot my order & I had to go up and ask where it was. Not apologetic about the mistake and I waited 30 min overall for it. It was not tasty and I ended up throwing it away.
Do not recommend.
Very eclectic here and not my cup of tea. Was driving thru and will never come here again. They wanted $40 for a stuffed animal, which is outrageous!
Surely, better options are available. Hard to find parking too so be prepared if you do go.

Happened to need to kill some time in Charleston and so I stopped by this bookstore. It was very cute! They have a café (that serves excellent mocha frappuccino/blasts), a little pottery studio, and of course the book store. Loved that it was an independent bookstore and had a great selection of regional books. If you are ever in Charleston, you should check out this place.

This book store was such a gem! The had a perfectly curated selection and lovely atmosphere. Their section on Appalachia was a unique find, and offered some rare and exciting options. Beyond their books, their stationary and art offerings were delightful and complemented their excellent book selection.

Very quaint little place! We're from out of town & went for a walk downtown area (found Pies & Pints also!); stopped in for a cup of coffee, found a book & then relaxed / read for a little bit. Great coffee! Plenty of street parking- jus keep track of your time on the meter, as the parking authority issues parking tickets quickly (we were over by 5'ish min ... and one can't pay with cash). If we lived in Charleston - we would certainly patronize this bookstore!

Great combo book store/ coffee shop/ art studio. Book selection is good they can order you anything just have patience. Some really nice pottery that is made by local artists and also wooden items too. They have nice mixed media paintings and other art pieces you can buy. Located in a nice older part of town. The coffee shop had alot of comfy seating. The coffee was well done and the vegetable quiche was nice. A good place to go for Sunday lazy day. Parking is not easy so you might have to walk a bit. Great place definitely go here.

Books, art displays and a cafe. This is one of the best places in town to find something unique or the latest best seller. Best of all you can enjoy your purchase while enjoying the cafe's offerings in a warm and comfortable environment. A must for any visitor or tourist of the capital city.

Atmosphere is great! Has live music on the weekends, great drinks and baked goods, and the book store area is very clean and organized. A very great locally owned book store and coffee shop. It also has an art exhibit area, featuring many different styles of unique and interesting artistry and sculptures.
The only complaint I have is that multiple times I have gone there, and most times the tables in the coffee shop are somewhat dirty and sticky. Other than that, it's a wonderful and popular place to be. Staff are also relaxed and seem to enjoy working there, which adds to the ambiance of the place.
