The newer barista they have seemed like she didnt want to work there.. waited 5 minutes while she was at the table right next to me flirting with some guy. She's been rude every time I've been there, leaving the other girls to do most of the work while she goes off and just talks with customers (I don't care if she talks to customers but when theres obviously things that need to be done, that's when she needs to rethink her priorities). She almost burnt my brothers sandwich because of this! Probably won't come back anymore because I don't want to deal with a rude barista that looks at me weird because I ask for an alternative milk since I'm lactose intolerant.

This seems to be a popular place, but my visit today left me with a sour taste.
I ordered a short dark drip for my husband, and a double tall nonfat latte for myself. The cashier poured the drip and handed it to my husband. Then she marked my order on the cup for me, but I noticed that it appeared to be a small (8 oz.) cup, rather than the large (12 oz,) that I had ordered. No big deal. She marked a 12 oz. cup for me, and placed it on the divider for the barista.
Inexplicably, by the time the drink has been poured, it was once again in a small 8 oz. cup. I informed the barista that I had ordered a large, and she started to argue with me, saying that she had heard me place the order. I've been ordering double tall nonfat lattes for decades, always using those words. If I ever get Alzheimer's, certainly one of the last coherent phrases left in my brain will be, "double tall nonfat latte". She re-poured the drink — thank you — but then informed me that next time it would be 65 cents more. Price was not the issue. Taking the order correctly and delivering it correctly without added snark _became_ the issue.
Everyone has a bad day once in awhile. From the other reviews, I can only suspect that this was one of those rare times. Next time through town, we'll probably drop by again. But still, this visit: one star.

Nice atmosphere, soft music, comfy chairs, friendly local baristas, good coffee and even ice cream! Hurricane Coffee is a local gem in the sequim community and a favorite for young local artists!

I love that they sell the local bakery items in case Pane d’Amore is out of one of your favs! Highly recommend the Honey Lavender latte, Hurricane latte, chocolate croissant, and maple pecan scone.

Whenever I think about what I miss when I am away from Sequim. It is the crunchy rocky ocean shorelines, the wonderfully meticulous yards of the residents, and of course... the lovely coffee at Hurricane. You can't enjoy a walk around downtown Sequim, without a warm brew firmly in hand. It is the complete experience.

Disappointed, after hearing of this place. Order for cappuccino, latte, and panini arrived with cappuccino in 'to-go' cup, latte in ceramic cup, and panini wrapped in paper -- no plate or napkin. Not a lot of thought went into filling our order. We were seated at a table!

I need more of their pumpkin muffins in my life, and so do you! The perfect amount of spices in a moist muffin that pairs perfectly with your coffee of choice. ❤️👌
