Review of Turtle Coffee

Turtle Coffee: A Local Gem for Coffee Lovers

Turtle Coffee is a cozy coffee shop located in the heart of Seattle, Washington. The coffee shop is open seven days a week, with varying hours depending on the day. The shop offers a wide variety of coffee drinks, including lattes, mochas, and dirty chai, as well as tea and hot chocolate. The coffee is brewed to perfection, and the shop's baristas are friendly and knowledgeable about their craft.

The atmosphere inside the shop is warm and welcoming, with plenty of seating options for customers to choose from. The shop has a fireplace in the middle, which adds to the cozy ambiance. There is also a kids' table, making it a great spot for families to enjoy a cup of coffee together.

Turtle Coffee is also known for its delicious homemade pastries, including scones, cookies, and Nordy bars. The food menu also includes sandwiches, such as the pesto sandwich, which is a customer favorite.

While the indoor atmosphere is welcoming, some customers have noted that the outdoor area is not as pleasant due to the presence of run-down RVs with the smell of urine. However, this does not detract from the quality of the coffee and food inside the shop.

Overall, Turtle Coffee is a local gem that offers great coffee, delicious food, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is a must-visit spot for coffee lovers in Seattle.

Excellent location in the old Tully's spot. Good prices, small selection of baked goods, very cozy and airy--perfect on an autumn day. Great tasting espresso milkshakes, and also, the owner is very nice.

Super cozy place with friendly service. Very tasty blended coffee drinks. Will definitely be back again. Given the current situation, it's take-out only, but once we're able to, I would love to sit and sip coffee here!

I really enjoy thier banana bread, they bake it fresh right there and they give me a pretty big slice. The coffee is good here but the people that work here are good to us.

UPDATE: a few months ago they got a new owner. Unfortunately the quality of the espresso drinks suffered, and became quite inconsistent. Still quite friendly and warm but if I don't like what's in my cup.... Haven't been back in at least a month. I hope they improve, as there are lots of good coffee places nearby but it was nice to have a good one near home. Mabels is farther but I go there now instead.

Excellent espresso drinks and food. I am a barista myself and when in this neighborhood this is my go-to. They bake all the scones and other baked goods right there daily and you can tell, scrumptious. Their sausage and egg on English muffin breakfast sandwich finished on a panini grill should make the fast food restaurant across the parking lot worry.... The staff is really friendly and it's a comfortable place to meet a friend or just enjoy your latte. Highly recommended.

I went there with my parents with no expectations.. we just wanted a coffee! First of all the service is great, kind and friendly. Second, the vibe of the place is cozy and family friendly. The cherry on top is the amazing coffee in real porcelain cups and homemade bakery. We loved the Cortado and Chai Latte (real Chai Latte not from the Tazo box). The chocolate zucchini cake was insane. It is a hidden gem!

Wow! Coffee was super good. I chugged it in fact! I also ordered some scones, a donut, cookies, and other pastries and every single one I said wow as I tasted it. Now keep in mind, I'm hard to impress. I'm a baker myself so I'm very critical but I just found my go to stop and the girls working were very polite. :)

Nice independently owned neighborhood coffee shop. Well maintained, good food and caffeinated beverages. Service with a smile. Very pleasant place to sit and work. In the hour and a half I was there, I noticed probably 70% of the customers were greeted by name. Prices on par with the giant chain, but friendly, personal service, and the independent vibe can't be had at the chain place. And they have WiFi. Formerly known as Holy Grounds.

Local, simple, small and quiet. Good spot for reading, work on computer and chat with a friend - Not crowded. Fun velvet cushioned booths. Not much seating for groups over 4 though. Oh and cute mugs with turtles on them.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a mocha, both tasted great. The music that they had playing was warming and not to load. I would definitely come back. If your giving turtle coffee a thought I insured you won't be disappointed.
