Anthem Coffee & Tea | Downtown Puyallup

I have been coming in for years. Honestly, what brings me back is the vibe. It’s got a great feel; however, I have yet to purchase and receive heated food that isn’t messed up. Today is my third burnt batch of sweet potato fries. I have ordered a morning breakfast that is consistently cold in the middle as well. The line is long. The service is slow and the food is barely prepared without much concern for who eats it, but location and vibe are awesome!

This is one of my favorite spots ever. My husband also loves this place so much, we come here to sit a read or work. Perfect place to meet up with people or just sit and have a moment.
The girls are always SO friendly and chatty, I love it.

They are expensive. I can get a full breakfast at a local diner for about the same price as a regular coffee and pastry. Also a hot coffee made with cold brew coffee confuses them, but so was Starbucks. I tried to explain it is just a brewing method. The brew doesn't dictate whether it is prepared to drink hot or cold.

Coffee is awesome.
I love Emma coffee.
It is tasty a strong flavor.
And It was said that local honey is contained.

This is just a little too busy and noisy for me to give it 5 stars, but I love the place, very close to Pioneer park. Great selection, good atmosphere, prices are reasonable. The Nan bread pizzas are worth trying. They have every sort of coffee drink, plenty of non-caffeinated choices as well as beer and wine.

Anthem is spacious, yet comfortable. I'd definitely come back here to meet up with some friends or work on a laptop.

Strings lights zigzag across the expanse of the store (accompanied by low hanging, warm, incandescent bulbs) lighting up a rustic wooden bar and table tops. Several potted plants are scattered throughout the cafe which subtly enliven the space. Also, it would be remiss if me to not mention the cool display of doodled-on-cups in front of the espresso machines.

Regarding the drinks, it was pretty slow when I got there around 3pm so my order (a mocha) was taken and completed immediately. It was surprisingly sweet--too much for my preferences--so I'll ask to tone it down on my next visit and update this review then.

Anthem serves great NAAN Pizzas (essentially pita bread style pizza), breakfast options (served all day), coffee, tea, beer, and wine by the glass. They have a lovely fireplace with a surrounding bar. There are plenty of tables and seating available with charging ports for electronic devices. There are seats at the bar and tables and free-standing bars throughout. Excellent food, atmosphere, and beverages.....and the customer service is top notch. I'd definitely recommend. The BBQ Chicken NAAN Pizza is awesome!!! They also serve a Nutella Espresso Coffee that my daughter said tastes unbelievably great! You won't regret it!

Good food and coffee. The girl was unfriendly and just go through the motions. Not even a smile. Ugh 😣

The Coffee price was ridiculous a 12oz mocha was about 6.80. The taste was decent not exceptional but decent. I wouldn’t go back.

Omg if there is one car in front of you, you will still sit there for 10 minutes. Still using the covid excuse a lot. Starbucks is right around the corner and they pay their employees enough they do t put you on the spot and ask for a tip.
