Lemon Hill Cafe & Bookstore

I absolutely love this place! The food, the service, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the gifts and books, everything is perfect, every time. Except one thing...that slamming front door. Customers going in and out just let the door slam behind them. We're usually seated at the large table by the door due to the size of our group. We wince every time it slams and I end up with a pounding headache. Aside from this one thing, this place has everything going for it. Please, don't let the door stop you from visiting tho, it really IS worth it!!

Lovely setting. A quaint bookstore with some treasures awaiting you to discover them, like fantastic richly scented candles(with lids so they don't overwhelm the aromas of the yummies)

Great people making delicious treats and main course meals from an ever changing menu.

Our 3-course meal was delicious 😋 and we love the bookstore! Left with full bellies, books, candles, and coffee beans. I'd call that a grand slam!

So me and my sister we’re having the worst day until we found this little tiny café, right downtown Montesano. The food, the atmosphere, the books, the plants everything even down to the decor of the bathroom, all of it was so artistic so cute and such a chill vibe all of the girls that work there were so cool and so welcoming and so inviting I absolutely loved it. I did not want to Leave The sandwiches, every single thing that I got was unbelievably amazing. Highly highly highly recommend stopping here if you have not yet.

Charming cafe. Food is fresh and well prepared. Book selection is not big, but interesting. A surprising find for this rural area.

I passed through Montesano on a bike trip recently and was lucky enough to get a recommendation to Lemon Hill Cafe for lunch. It was the most amazing food!!! The Jerk Roasted Vegetable sandwich with locally made goat cheese was incredible!! Although full, it was a bummer to eat the last bite. Of course, I had to also make room for chocolate cake with lemon cream icing. All of this in a beautifully decorated cafe filled with books and other art. I will definitely make another trip to Montesano (via car) to eat here again (even though it's over an hour for me). So worth it!!!

By far my favorite place in town! Their book & gift selection is amazing, it’s impossible for me to leave without wanting to buy everything. Their food is off the charts delicious! I love their Jackfruit and goat cheese sandwich and ALL of their desserts. Also they are always really helpful when it comes to dietary restrictions. I wish I could give them 10 stars and hang out here all day everyday!!

Small very unique cafe and bookstore. The baked good I had was very good, the staff extremely friendly and pleasant. Book selection was small but very well thought out on what to offer. Will go back again when in the area.

The hot vegetable sandwich and salad were delicious. My friends also said the soup of the day (Tomato Basil) was very good. One friend had a special cider, provided us tastes, and we all thought it was exceptional. The restaurant was clean, seating comfortable, and the staff super friendly and fun.
There was also a nice selection of assorted books to purchase.
