Have been going here for 10+ years and UCL's coffee is superb. I am not a fan of SBux or any of those other chain coffee shops as their coffee tastes mediocre. UCL's coffee is a creamy, strong flavor that's served at the perfect temperature (and always looks so pretty - the photos are from my visits throughout the years). An absolute bonus is they serve their coffee's in a mug - so few places do - and it's just like being at home. UCL's food, staff and location are all great. The only downside is the parking and the fact that it can be really crowded at times. But hey, it just goes with the territory of being a great place to grab a good coffee so patience is a virtue and it's worth the wait :)

A great selection of hot/cold, baked goods and delightful outdoor seating. And just people watch around Juanita Village!

Nice place in Juanita village, pretty close to the water.
Parking can sometimes be tough depending on what time of day it is and how busy the area is. This location is next to a busy yoga studio.
The inside is trendy and industrial with lots of different spaces for you to sit and work, socialize, etc. There are quite a few tables outside that I can imagine are really lovely during the nicer months!
The pastry case has a small assortment of selections along with another case that offers sandwiches, breakfast burritos and such. I didn't order anything to eat but everything looked good!
I ordered the vanilla latte off the menu. The vanilla was the perfect authentic flavor, not too sweet. My barista was really friendly. It's nice to have your coffee handed to you or your credit card swiped by someone with a smile! :)
I don't live around Kirkland, but I would choose this establishment to fulfill my caffeine needs if I was in the area again!

Love coming here for remote work. The coffee is always consistently good (my order is an americano) I appreciate the food selections, there’s gluten free options.
The ambiance is nice, the only gripe is finding a seat near an outlet during peak times. I’d come here during the off hours if you plan to work.

Great coffee shop in the heart of Juanita. Their food and pastries are delicious and they have inventive, delicious coffees and teas. Definitely worth a visit!

Honey cinnamon Latte is the best! You can actually taste the honey. You can hardly taste the cinnamon, not a huge fan of cinnamon. So, this does not disappoint at all! I forgot what the original name of the food item I purchased but it was also delicious! The baristas call it a caramelized croissant! I highly recommend these items! I love it here, can't wait to go back!

This place is my slice of heaven! I spent here so many hours with my girlfriends talking about everything. Tasty food, awesome tea, nice people, and modern interior make me comfortable ☺️

I started going to this coffee shop in 2007, and I come here every time I’m back in Eastside. They are professional and consistent in the quality of the coffee, food, and service they offer. This is my go-to for americano in the morning.

I would actually give this place a 4.5, but google does not allow half stars. Good coffee and interesting eats. I had the empanada, which was surprisingly good - only thing is that it was not fresh which, when heated, made the shell soft and doughy instead of firm. The orange cake was very good. There seem to be a lot of people moving about behind the counter, but only one person making the coffee, so there is a bit of a wait. I like the fact that you can sit outside in the sun (when you can). Would go back. The only issue might be parking during certain times, but there is a 2 hour limit for spaces around the are so there's that.

Purchased espresso and a smoothie, they were average. The person who took my order and payment was so rude and unkind to me, and I have no idea why. She was friendly to the person before me. Will never go to this place again. On top of being treated like dirt, it was not a cute, enjoyable place to sit and have drinks. And yes, I did tip, even though I don’t feel it was earned.
Edit: Jeff, I don't know how you can tell from video how she spoke to me. Please do not gaslight people. I am aware of how I was treated, how I felt about it, and what you believe as someone who wasn't there does not change anything. Thank you for your other message and offer, but we will pass. My husband is the espresso lover and he simply didn't like it.
