I wouldn't even give them one star. I used to come in all the time with my friends. They disrespected my 5 year old son and banned him without even telling me to my face. Instead they had the police station call me. My son tried to take a book for his sister (He was 4 at the time) and I made him return it right then and there. He took a piece of Candy off the counter and I paid for. It was months before I brought him back and they were fine. Again months later my Friends and I went in and he was good sat beside us other than grabbing a book or puzzle. A few hours after I left the Bookery the police called me and said my 5 year old was banned. I asked if my son had taken something and the officer said no but they banned him from the Bookery and when I asked why he said she told him "She was frusterated I brought him in" Now if he had taken something I understand but he did nothing wrong and He did not ever steal anything. She pretty much just taught my son that if he does the right thing he will be punished. She did not even have the decentcy to tell me to my face or give me a reason. Myself and several others are upset about how she went about this. I as his mother was trying to teach him not to steal and I made him take it back. My son happened to hear the cop and was sad and started crying. We made it right and she lost not only my business but all my respect for her and the place. My job as his mother was to help him not only understand that you can't just take a book you have to pay for it. He saw the candy on the counter and ate it. I paid for it so I made it right. I would have appreciated her talking to me about it especially since I would go there all the time.To ban a 5 year old that did not steal anything just because you were frusterated I brought him in is ridiculous and I don't understand her reasoning. I did everything right and my 5 year old knows not to take anything due to the fact I taught him like a mom should. I'm sorry for the long review but I as a customer, a mom and as a person who did the right thing I am upset at how she handled it or there the lack of and had the police call me.

This is a local favorite for coffee and lunch. Awesome keto snacks from local companies. Super friendly and lays back atmosphere. Great place for great coffee.

They are a book store along with an eatery. I took two books over that I had purchased through Amazon but they were supposed to go to a friend in prison; somehow Amazon did not send them there as requested.
The person I talked with said they could do it but the owner would have to sign off on it. This was on Tuesday the 5th. They were to have called me for shipping fee.
They did not and here it is Wednesday the 13th and I finally learn they won't do it; the excuse given: the books have to come from a "publisher." This is patently false; books to inmates can go through any established local bookstore; I am aware of this because I have sent books before.
What this resulted in was 40 miles of unnecessary travel.
I was able to get them sent by a book store that has recently opened in Moses Lake. Thank goodness for people who know their business.
This is in response to the owner's reply. In the reply the owner makes an assumption that is NOT based on fact. The owner says that I "bought" the books and then tried to get them sent. FACT: I did make the purchase but through Amazon; I marked they were "gifts" and then entered the address of the inmate they were to be sent to. I have no control over what happened once the order was placed and was, as I told the employee, surprised when they arriced at my home. Then, and ONLY then did I try to get a locak book store to send them to this friend who happens to be an inmate. It was not a Second thought to send them as the books themselves are of a type I do not personally read. I give this edit, the response to the owner, only because of the TOTALLY FALSE assumption that I acted in a way that is against regulations.

Nice, quite place. Coffee tasted good. They could improve by offering more breakfast choices. The staff isn't very welcoming.

More café than bookstore anymore, but eh, they just adapt to the times. Food is good, coffee was alright. Overall not bad.

Not very impressive, but will give it one more chance for a final review.
Now at least I know where the attitude of the employees comes from😏

I did not see the response I was given until now. And I did come in way later and pay for that Candy I reminded her and paid it so how dare you say I did not. I came back today because I honestly thought that you sold it and unfortunetly I found out you didn't so I won't return. You could have talked to me but did not. The day we were there my Son sat next to me the whole time. And just a FYI I see Kids there in the book section reading and messing up books all the time and nobody ever says a word. To ban a 4 year old is ridiculous regaurdless especially because I made it right everytime and I was teaching him to do right as well.
