This has been our favorite place to eat at for decades. Their prices are reasonable, plentiful servings. Any time day or night, the staff are always prompt and helpful answering questions and getting you seated.
The quality of their food is top notch.

Wow. Just wow. Found on accident when another placed we tried to go wasn't open. Drove past it once and didn't think it was open, so I would look in to improving signage for non-locals. But once we got inside, lemme tell you, worth it.

Coffee was divine, and thats saying something, we drink a lot of coffee.
Then breakfast? Oh my goodness. Just phenomenal. Homemade gravy, the hash, fluffy eggs, French toast! All out of this world. It closes early, so get there when you can! Stop in on the way across state! You will NOT be disappointed.

The food was really good but service could use some improvement. Once served, the waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. Only came back to drop the check.

Oozing history, the Palace is a must for tourists (they have a list, available on request, of the historical photos of Ellensburg displayed throughout.) It's not the cheapest place in town but no other place offers what they do: the *definitive* prime rib, a breakfast menu with everything from Eggs Benedict to a fairly greasy (but cheap and satisfying!) breakfast muffin, and a plethora of excellent omelettes. When you first come in, pay attention to the brownies and cookies at the counter and remember to order them early: I waited 'til the end of my dinner to order once and found they'd sold out while I ate ... odamtubadjo! (Death by chocolate!) The diverse staff is cheerful, attentive and engaging: they take pride in their work and their historical position in what was once supposed to be the Washington State Capital. (Wetsiders won, hence Olympia.) They feature a full-service bar and visually intriguing decor, the food and drinks are generous (well worth the slightly higher prices... this is arguably one of the best restaurants in town, after all) and my only complaint is that they don't serve locally-owned Iron Horse Brewery products (Irish Death, in particular, which goes -- WOULD go -- so well with most of their menu items.) Top notch eats, top notch place to eat 'em.

Slow service and mediocre food for all three of our dishes. We watched our lunch sit at the service window for 10 minutes before it came. I suspect there are far better places in Ellensburg. This is a $20 burger place that does not deliver.

I don't like to write 1 star reviews and always encourage others to try things as all palettes vary. That said, this from a food aspect is unacceptable. While the prime rib was acceptable, none of the sides were even close. The vegetables in a farm rich environment were from a can or frozen and boiled beyond acceptability. The mashed potatoes were seemingly from a box as well and the gravy was truly bland and tasteless and seemed to be from a packet. I would expect more freshness from a $35 entree.

My wife got halibut and chips and although the halibut was also from a box in appearance, it was at least hot and okay. The fries were the best part of the whole meal, unfortunately. Very crispy and tasty, 5 stars on those. The Cole slaw on the other hand looked liked it had been sitting out for a day or two and neither of us would even try it.

I frequent The Palace for dinner.
They have a great menu.
The Ahi appetizer and Chicken Caesar Salad are my favorites.
Thier Breakfast is also pretty great.

1 Staff member had no clue about menu and didn't seem to care. The other was awesome. Food was typical bar food, ok, nothing outstanding

We stopped here and had breakfast. The place was really clean and well decorated. I had the smoked ham with eggs and hashbrowns. The eggs and ham were perfect the hashbrowns were mushy inside. That is the only reason it did not get a five. The wait staff was really friendly and the prices were good.

I ordered take out, great service. This place was really busy at 530 pm. Parking was an issue for me. I'm 84 asthmatic plus achy joints. No handicap Parking that I saw.
