Good food, decent price. It feels pretty busy most of the time. Mickey is honestly the best waiter I’ve ever had! He’s always happy and is sharp with little jokes. He’s quite the motivated man!

6 of us came in for dinner last night. We were ignored by the hostess while she chatted with another employee. We were finally seated. Waitress took my husbands order first…. We waited quite awhile for our food- when our meals came they had been sitting for a bit as all the fries were cold. My nieces order got lost? My bean and ham soup was so salty I couldn’t eat it. I did ask for fresh fries for the table as no one wanted their cold ones. After what seemed like forever, one basket of fries arrived for 6 people…. When we were almost finished with what we could eat of our meal my niece’s meal arrived. It wasn’t what she ordered. We gave up paid our bill and left. It just wasn’t a good experience on any level- no one seemed to give a darn about providing a good experience.

Here from out of town and got the prime rib and the flat iron steak, both were amazing and so tender. The wedge salad was very good. Portions are huge. We got our food to go and they provided everything we needed. Will be back next time we come to see the kids at college.

Great vintage decor featuring cars, trains and planes.🛩The food was excellent, and I highly recommend the prime rib French dip.😏 We received fast service even though they were quite busy. Our host and server were very friendly and polite. We will definitely stop by again.👍

Staff was a little inattentive at the front and the waitress too. The chili on the "famous" Chili Burger was fantastic with great flavor. It had too much cheese for my taste but don't let that keep you from trying it. My wife had plain cheese burger and found the quality very good. The fries were off the chart and you get so much you could share an order with three people. Glad we went...

I stopped by after a festival at The Gorge in August 2021 and it was an overall negative experience. After festivals, I always crave diner food but I wanted to give a chance to a local diner rather than go to IHOP or Denny’s. I was in a group of 5 (one person chose not to eat though) and was seated within 15 minutes, which was totally reasonable. However, it took over 30 minutes to have staff take our order and almost 2 hours to receive our food. I ordered biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and sunny side up eggs. I was really disappointed when my food was brought out and it was cold. The gravy had already begun to harden from sitting out for so long and I don’t trust room temperature sunny side up eggs since they are fairly undercooked. I could tell it had been sitting on the counter for an extended amount of time waiting for all the dishes to be ready at the same time. The portions were also pretty small (biscuits were similar in size to the small ones you get in a tube). I don’t blame any of the cooks or servers though. To be honest, it seemed like the restaurant was grossly understaffed and so there were too many tables per server. Our server was trying their best but definitely seemed overworked.

I always sit in the bar cats the waitress is great and friendly. If I were to suggest only one item it would be the prime rib! I'm here for training so it's where I chose to eat dinner every night. I had the prime rib, the club, and the cheeseburger. All three were tasty and well priced. They have a decent selection of beer as well to go with dinner.

Waitress must have been having a bad day. Got sat down and ordered. Waitress seemed perturbed. Watched as 3 other tables were seated and served. By the time the table across from us got served and had almost finished...20-25 minutes passed and we were informed, in a cold manner, that our order had been lost and we could wait for it if we wanted to. Well we left. This was done on purpose as I overheard the Waitress and a busser talk about it when I went to the bathroom. Bad service. No clue about the food.

Heading through town with a group of friends, we ended up at Palace Cafe. They seemed to have a pretty good selection at prices that struck me as reasonable. It seems we got served pretty quickly, and the gentleman who served us was great--very attentive and helpful with our dietary restrictions.
I had the cod fish and chips and found the fish and fries quite tasty. The tartar sauce didn't seem to have a lot of flavor (until I doctored it with spices), but it was fine. The coleslaw was boring and fairly tasteless, but there was plenty of food without it.
I could see myself returning here if I find myself in Ellensburg at mealtime again.
