Great little local diner right in downtown Winchester. The kind of place where you sit at the counter and chat with the other customers. Great food and hand cut fries. Get the "Hangover Helper" steak, egg, and cheese sub (I ordered mine with peppers and onions). Its the cure for those saturday morning headaches!

Very friendly and welcoming, Diesel is a true gem. Stop by for some epic pancakes and the home fries with his house made hot sauce!! Delish!’

Giving five stars on everything, but a little disappointed. Stopped in about 2 years ago and loved the food and atmosphere. Owner is a also an on the job entertainer!
Have tried to go back three times with no success. First time was during Covid, so understandable. 2nd time about a month ago during regular breakfast hours, but he was closed but present in the restaurant. Tried again a few days ago and same thing. We arrived about 9:30 am and he was in there but closed. Both times several others arrived and were disappointed he was closed. We travel here from Cleveland to visit our daughters family. Have paid for street parking both times. On the verge of giving up trying again. Great place when open though.

The service is really great from my experience. It's only counter service but at least you know the food is always prepared fresh.
The prices are rather high but not when you consider the portion. From one pancake platter I was able to eat breakfast for three days.
