The food is your, I wanna taste of southern, home cooking!
It seems to be a local staple and is enjoyed by a wide variety of ages.
We were greeted with a sign that told us we can sit anywhere which was odd considering anywhere you go they seat you, but it was a nice odd, gave us a chance to allow my niece to choose for once and that she did lol
So I would recommend if you want a home cooked meal and friendly hospitality check out Rick's Cafe!

BTW the dessert on the board when you walk in which is Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake is homemade by the very lovely young woman who waited on us, Kathryn 😉 her Chocolate Oreo Cake is what actually brought me in, but was sold out because it was such a hit, made that Saturday and sold out by Monday! I was a day late, oh well better luck next time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Rick's has been a staple for breakfast for a long time. Good diner style food at an affordable price. Service has always been pleasant, the staff is friendly and warm.

Rick's is one of our favorite places for breakfast. You can always count on good home cooked style food . You always get generous portions for a good price. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food comes out quick. And I leave full.

I got almost no total with my order what a rip off. Don't waste your money here.

Our waitress provided suggestions for our kiddos and happily allowed us to substitute items. I had the chicken fried chicken, sweet pot fries, coleslaw and Texas toast! It was all very good. We ordered three meals and one drink and it was very affordable, especially being that close to the ocean front.

Terrific menu & service...Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. I has breakfast during a second Saturday morning out of the past four Saturdays, and I love Rick's Cafe. Busy all morning, but the wait staff keeps the delicious food moving and tables turning without rushing anybody. I'll keep coming back to Rick's when I visit Virginia Beach!

By the way, this morning's special was Eggs Benedict, which I modified to include Edwards Country Sausage instead of the standard grilled him -- delicious!

I used to frequent Rick's Cafe every night at 2:00 a.m. or later. Leaving the oceanfront it was one of the best places to get food. I just went back after 6 years and it still holds up. The hour change caught me off guard but it was still a delicious breakfast. Sad I missed Donna working but I got her favorite on the menu. Worth six years of waiting.

Owner Rick is rude! He needs to learn some manners and how to be respectful of others
