Caffe Amouri Coffee Roaster

I wish that I could give a more nuanced star rating because my experiences here have really run the gambit, but after this morning’s visit, I will probably not return.

The coffee and pastries are excellent. I love the high tables for working because I like to stand up while I work and these tables make that an option. I thought this was going to be my home away from home I was looking for since leaving my favorite coffee shop in Johannesburg in January.

But that brings me to the “nuance”. It’s great that they have free WiFi! However, in order to fully use it they require you to log in and check-in via Facebook to really access the internet. I gave up FB and not going back.

Additionally, I’ve been coming here multiple times per week since February and not a single person working there has bothered to interact with me in any way except the perfunctory requirements to take my order and move me through the line. Some of the employees are just rude. I’m not sure what it takes to be a regular here, but I’m not going to bother finding out.

This is our local Vienna VA coffee shop, our home away from home. The owner and the staff have a passion for a coffee which is reflected in the drinks and the decor, which is warm and inviting. They are constantly trying new things and have events (pre and hopefully soon post covid) which are community oriented. I particularly love the music themed decorations, like the cafe tables with the classic rock and roll posters. Reminds me of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

What a wonderful find! The location is nice, as there is a good deal of indoor and outdoor seating available. The coffee is FANTASTIC. I had both the Spice Honey Americano and the Mocha Organcia. Loved both of them!

My one star deduction is for not just the mask requirement but for the pervasive signage thoughtout the café. To begin with, the layout of the building makes things cramped. You have a line of people who are required to be masked standing surrounded by people who are drinking their coffee and eating without them. There is logistically zero sense in this requirement. Furthermore, the CDC has recently stated cloth masks do nothing, and that is by far the majority of what people wear. So unless you're going to pay someone to stand at the door and hand out surgical masks, it's past time to drop the act.

Also, no for-here mugs is a ridiculous choice.

If coffee is a song, this song is a hit. The onsite roasting, live music plays, heavenly aroma, friendly conversations, musical wall art and community vibe create an experience of super sonic symphony that’s hard to describe in words. It’s more than a sign of the times. Ethiopian light roast is easily one of the best tasting coffees, and asserting her place not only in this neighborhood but in the world. If you’re curious about an amazing story about this cafe and it’s early beginnings, ask John - you will be in for a big surprise. The story knits the 3 ends - the past, now and the future that this coffee has already declared - together! The best coffee you ever tasted (and will ever taste). Guaranteed.

The place is kinda messy. I’m not sure, but they kinda just have an extension to their store. However, their coffee is so good. I ordered flat white and it was on point. The service was good too.

Top notch fresh coffee, great options for coffee purists and regular joes alike. Coffee is roasted on site for maximum freshness, espresso drinks are phenomenal. Please stop by and support this excellent (NoVA local!) coffee institution!

The coffee taste is not strong and fresh. Also, all the staff are friendly and the parking lot is convenient.

Update 7/4/21: Legal tender CASH is accepted once again! Inside visits AND inside seating, and GREAT outdoor seating too. Excellent coffee, as always. Get fully vaccinated, and then come by and enjoy some WONDERFUL coffee!

Can't beat this coffee roaster. I take people here to show them how coffee should be made. Lots of seating and very helpful staff that keeps the place clean. Excellent
