I love this little place. We just moved to Portsmouth and we live right around the corner. Our coffee pot broke in the move and we've been putting off buying a new one as an excuse to get coffee here in the mornings, lol. The breakfast burrito is my jam, the staff is very nice, and the atmosphere is very chill.

I’ve been a few times and the breakfast sandwiches are the best here.
Great drip coffee and even better cold brew.

Great local coffee shop in Downtown Portsmouth. Staff are friendly and the food/drinks are delicious. Great stopping place for Pokémon Go as well or a stop after the Children's Museum

Great local mom and pop coffe place where patrons can enjoy moist muffins and/or cold or hot drinks. Patrons also have the ability to seat outside, while enjoying fresh cool breeze coming off the nearby water or sit indoors. Parking is not an issue because there are plenty of spots available on the street or a in a garage nearby. Additionally there specialty drinks provide interesting, but tasty mixes. Visit this place and you will not be sorry.

Let me start out by saying that The Coffee Shoppe is a nice little gem in downtown Portsmouth! It's one of those places you'd think to hear is a "well kept secret," however thankfully it's a very popular place, but still has the ambiance of a nice little corner shop.

Even though every time I go there, there's always seems to be a lot of patrons sitting about, both inside and out, I've never had an issue finding a place to sit. And the similar can be said for the line, it always seems long, but thanks to the efficiency of the staff, I never have to wait more than a few minutes.

The prices are on par with that of other coffee shops, but the tastiness of the drinks and food make it well worth it! I highly recommend you explore the menu because I have yet to order anything (drink or food) that I haven't been more than pleased with when all is said and done.

A couple of extra perks is that the staff is always friendly, there is free wifi and it's positioned perfectly in downtown that when you're done you are in walking distance of a few museums, the waterfront, and lots of festivals during the summer and fall!

My daughter and I loved the egg sandwiches and smoothies we had here. It's a short walk from the ferry that provides service to Norfolk. What a nice, inexpensive foray into the Hampton Roads greater vicinity.

I didn’t get what I ordered specifically through grubhub from your business. I don’t understand if you were currently out of it why wasn’t I just contacted and asked if I wanted a different kind of item? Also I can’t seem to get any kind of phone call answered when I call to speak to someone. We love your food but if we can’t receive the items that we ordered then we won’t be visiting or ordering from your establishment any longer. Especially since I ordered over $20 worth of muffins.

A true treasure. Excellent coffee drinks and fresh tasty food. The vibe is relaxed and inviting. I will definitely be returning. I do believe I have found my new favorite spot.

A smaller coffee shop with a big impact. You can find a Starbucks on every corner, but this here is a golden shop. The coffee tastes great and somehow has that "homemade" feel to it that you can't get at a large chain coffee shop. The food isn't bad either, and you can grab a quick bite to eat while you meet with someone, get some work done, read a book, or just enjoy some quiet time to yourself. If you feel like grabbing it to go, you can do that too and then take a walk down historic Portsmouth areas and even take an across the water look at the beautiful city of Norfolk.

Small little shop in the city of Old Town. It's got a very local feel to it and the food is very good and is not pricey. The staff moves quick and courteous. The Shoppe also offers a small, outdoor seating area. The place to stop if you want a cheap, low-key breakfast or lunch
