Cafe Milo

I'm definitely coming back! The coffee was outstanding and I really appreciated that they thought to offer milk alternatives like oatmilk. The food was also amazing with lots of flavor and generous portions. The overall atmosphere was inviting and the owner is very kind!

Absolutely delicious. I’ve heard such great things about the place that I had to go and try it out for myself. Flavor of the chicken on the chicken & waffles was outstanding and definitely can tell it’s homemade batter. The French toast was also amazing! Highly recommend this place to anyone that’s craving a nice brunch!

COVID Update: Stopped by for All Wrapped Up (aka the most perfectly wrapped burrito in the 757), the whipped coffee (more milk than coffee), and some of their homemade chess pie with a lemon whipped cream. The whipped cream balances out the sugar overload of the pie to create a smooth treat on a warm day.

I love this place. It's intimate, comfy, and delish! The staff is awesome! Good portions for the prices. Super original recipes. A must go.

My husband and I stumbled upon this little place while on break from a glass blowing class across the street. From the outside, it is small and unassuming; but once you're inside, you can see how special it is.

The staff very clearly love what they do and where they work. You can feel the happiness and affection emanating in each corner of the building as they casually chat with one another and stroll between guests asking how their experience is. The layout may be tiny, but the staff makes it feel so much bigger than it is.

The vegan falafel wrap was to die for. My husband could not stop raving about Milo's Burger and the seasoned french fries. The best part of my meal, however, was the whipped coffee with lavender flavor added in. Our server said he had never made that particular drink before, but he made it like a pro. It was easily one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had.

I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone in the Norfolk area with some time to kill. It was truly a hidden gem. We will definitely be returning!

Coffee, banh mi and CHESS pie... Excellent combo and the chess pie was killer! *Note the picture is only half the sandwich and soup. I couldn't resist long enough to snap a pic of the full meal.

Excellent little cafe with a creative menu. Super close to the Chrysler. Everything on the menu is made fresh and the staff are friendly. The banana foster French Toast is a great choice and so is the breakfast burrito. Limited seating so plan accordingly.

I visited today. The Milo Burger is awesome. Also, the staff are very friendly!
