Our group visiting the area attractions stopped here to grab a bite. The place was a very comfortable environment, very nice folks, clean restroom, & very good home made food. We all left full & happy!

Second time here and still great! The sandwiches are a great size. All sides are good and has a great family country feel! Will stop again when we're back in the area!

My family went to Jellystone in natural bridge and went there to buy hot dogs because I had forgot them at home. We ended up there for breakfast every morning for the rest of our trip. The lady was extremely nice and had amazing food! Our last day we ended up buying the rest of her biscuits to take home along with the apple butter and macaroni salad. She had the absolute best macaroni salad I've ever had! Great breakfast sandwiches and sausage gravy! We didn't have the lunch but if it's anything like breakfast it's amazing!

Great sandwiches. Pleasant surprise. We sat in the shade, outside on a picnic table next to the babbling creek.

Yummy and fast breakfast. We enjoyed the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and the breakfast platter. Good customer service and a few tables outside. Very convenient to Nat Bridge State Park.

One star is pretty generous. The people inside are rather and surpsingly standoffish to start. Its pretty infrequent that as a customer, you find the staff or owners are just unpleasant. Sorry for interrupting your day trying to purchase things from your establishment!
I'd like to add that we came here to get sandwiches, and from photos it looked pretty good. However, this is not the case. Aside from their menu being very small, it is not customizable at all. I asked for a combo of turkey and roast beef. NOPE. Cant do that. Everything is pre- proportioned and despite having a scale, and a deli meat slicer literally right behind the counter, this was too huge of an ask.
Further more, when I went to order something from their 'customizable'menu, its hardly that. You can choose Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham or 'Pastrami Reuben' but they only have tomato, lettuce, onion, as add ons.
I asked for roast beef, but what I got is a styrofoam container of wsrm inedible meat trash on a sad roll, with warm lettuce and red onions, (not the onions I asked for) It is absolutely the most disappointing and expensive sandwich I've had the displeasure of ordering. I would have gotten better food from a gas station like Sheets or Wawa. Which is saying something.
My roast beef sandwich is so overcooked it would be better served as a roof shingle as opposed to something that could be eaten by a human. I'm not sure I'd even let my dog have it.
The mac n cheese I got as a side would have been better if it wasn't flour, water and yellow food coloring. I think yellow crayon would have been an improvement to the ingredients list. It's not like there is any cheese in it anyway.
I would go try to get my money back, but with the hostility we were shown going in just being nice, I'm worried how I'd get treated if I complained. Never again! Don't spend your money here. Try another mom and pop shop or keep driving.
The one star is because my husband reports his sandwich was just okay. But $25 for two sandwiches, and an extra bag of chips (best part of the meal) I had thought it would habe been just a tad better. I'm VERY understanding, having worked as a waitress and in food/customer service for 15+ years, but this was really inexcusable.
Thank goodness there's a sign that says thank you for shopping here! I would not have known anyone felt that way otherwise.

Great lunch spot! We enjoyed a Bacon Maple Jam Burger and Grilled Ham and Cheese sandwich. Both were delicious!

Loved it. Small store and Cafe. Great lunch. Great staff. Service dogs welcomed. Love finding small town stores.

So rude. We should have walked out as soon as we walked in. We stopped here for lunch along our 7 hour drive and were told we were not able to use the bathroom until we paid for food. Ok, fine. I let the cashier know that I have a dairy allergy and was served a sandwich dripping with butter. When I let her know I was then served a dry roll to reassemble what was salvagable inside my sandwich. On our way out the cashier tried to charge us another $1.50 for the roll told that they don't cater to food allergies. I ordered a turkey, tomato and lettuce sandwich and let her know I have a dairy allergy. Dairy makes me very ill and to think that a business owner is unapologetic about the health of their customers says a lot to me. Save your money and go to a restaurant that treats their customers with kindness and respect. The food was overpriced and not even good.

This place is great, if you're not black. We came in, sat at a table and waited for ten minutes to be acknowledged. Upon asking why we hadn't been greeted, we were informed by a snarky employee that we needed to order up front. No signs. No friendly request to "order up front when you're ready". Just silence. What's more is that I saw the employee watching us from the register while a white family enjoyed their meal at the table next to us. We just left. Beware that there are still places in Virginia that do not want black people in their establishments. Hey if y'all don't want us there, news flash: we don't wanna be there!
