Pronto Caffé & Gelateria

Excellent espresso. Some of the best I've had outside of Italy. Most of the espresso I've had in the states has tasted awful, but here it's actually pretty good. It must be the coffee they are using. I think it's Lavazza but I'm not sure. I want to go back one day when it's warmer and try the gelato. It looks really good.

Great place with friendly service and the best espresso in town (best drip coffee is around the corner). But the gelato freezer is ungodly loud.

Definitely enjoyed my coffee. The location is perfect, staff is super welcoming, store is clean, and the ambience is that of a trendy coffee shop.

Edit: Gave them a second try because of lack of coffee in the area. Coffee wasnt great but it was drinkable 🙏🏻 which I am very thankful for right now.
Original: The shop was super clean and comfortable. I didnt personally try anything so I cant comment on that (which is the only reason my review is so high) but my partner did and the service was a big miss. Neither of us usually mind dismissive service but we felt very unwelcomed there. No greeting and their questions met with barely less than an eye roll.

We had the adorable Pronto Via camper at our wedding reception, serving coffee, mini pies, and - of course - gelato! I can't speak highly enough of Pronto. The food was to die for; we are not big cake people, so the pies and gelato were PERFECT and our guests were raving! Meridith was amazing to work with - communicative, professional, and always so kind! I just can't sing their praises enough! Check them out and enjoy!!! :) PS: get the oreo gelato - yum!!!

Fun and elegant ice cream and coffee place, with an interesting selection of about a dozen ice cream flavors and a handful of coffee choices, including espresso drinks. Other food choices are pretty minimal, so plan to pop in for an afternoon treat, or plan to end your evening here.

Overall, Pronto serves up an underwhelming experience. I popped into the caffe during a trip through Lexington and expected to find a good cup of Italian coffee, according to their reviews and advertising. Yet, that was far from what I received. The Illy coffee they use is a good Italian roast used in shops all across Italy, but when you're given the cappuccino improperly made and served up in a paper cup like a Starbucks, you can't help but feel cheated. The barista was also very unfriendly and took ages to make the drinks. After all that, I hoped that the sandwhich I ordered would change my view, but it was ended up being small and with more bread than meat and cheese. I definitely would not visit again, especially for coffee, since Lexington Coffee Roasters is only a short drive away and offers a much better experience.

Excellent espresso in a beautiful place. The ambiance is pleasant and well désignés, also very clean.

Great Gelato. Try the pear!
