I've really made an effort to try to like this place. The staff is very friendly and welcoming but their food and drinks always disappoint me. Desserts are stale and if you order any hot drink you end up getting 50% foam and a lukewarm drink.

I still need to try their cocktails as I've only dropped by this place during lunch time and haven't really been able to try that yet.
Update will follow for their alcoholic beverages.

My friends and I were going to go eat at Bar Louie but it was so crowded and noisy we decided to give Trummers a try. We were not disappointed. It was awesome. It was relaxing, just a great place to get together to catch up. We started off with a nice glass of wine and then ordered food. The food was absolutely wonderful . We asked for some bread to go with the salad and it was incredible. It was a mini loaf baked with some rosemary and a slight hint of salt. So tasty. I highly recommend this place !

Frankie is the absolute best!! (I got you Frankie!) Ask him to make you a drink of his choice, I dare you!! His award winning drinks are just amazing! Trummers has been our place to decompress for several years and I have to say that we are so pleased they have added Frankie to their family! The food is always amazing and the drinks are phenomenal!

Thanks to Frankie for pouring a wonderful red flight and closing my night out with a spectacular Irish coffee. So glad that this lovely quirky wine and coffee bar is right across from my hotel tonight. He was working with so many people but everyone felt that they'd had his personal attention. Really nice place with your not average bar experience.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. Everything is top notch. I frequent for coffee, and happy hour. A great place to hang out and catch up on work. Great place for brunch, or after a movie. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Always great conversations. Ariel is a fantastic Barista who strives for customer satisfaction. Cheers to a job well done Trummer's.

This place used to be good. Came here ordered a wine flight after it took 15 minutes for a waitress and we had to ask for one, the wine pours are tiny not even a full glass of wine total and it costs $16. The waitress knew nothing about the menu and only checked on us twice. Extremely over priced, poor service and the menu options are not great. It's also very small, not kid friendly and just not a good atmosphere. I do not recommend.

Cute little place with lots of personality. Food was yummy. Waiters were friendly and knowledgeable. We kinda got forgotten for a while in the shuffle, but it"s a lovely place to go if you're not in a hurry.

Found this "oasis" while waiting for my wife to shop in the myriad shops. Had the "Napoleon" cake and a Latte. Just absolutely wonderful. Cake was fresh and tasty. Latte was served with a heart in the foam. Free WiFi. Good music. The atmosphere is nice. Many were having sandwiches and appeared please with their selections. I will be coming back many times. Scary to think how much damage wife will do with the shopping...😂

I would say off the bat this is really a 3.5-star place. 4 stars just don't seem applicable because the service, outside one of their guys, is always acerbic, slow and sometimes forgetful. The food and beverages, however, are always great! Often visit this place for a breakfast or brunch on the weekends and sometimes alongside going out to a matinee movie. The lamb-stuffed pastry is out of control delicious, and their coffee preparation is always spot on.
The lower rating really is accredited to the service consistently being a point of contention, and honestly has stopped my fiance and me from returning as frequently as we were, as it just got annoying! There seems to be a genuine level of judgment from the staff for whatever reason, we always tip well and are always polite, so I am not sure where it comes from. Oh well, good little cafe if you can get past the snark.

This place is definitely going to be my new spot when I’m in the area! The food and drinks are great! Frankie is knowledgeable, and more importantly makes you feel like you’re hanging out with a friend you’ve known for years. I recommend Trummer’s Coffee and Wine Bar to anyone that lives in the Gainesville area, and I recommend it to anyone that is interested in a unique hole in the wall location.
