Lovely Southern Life
*This review is for the bagged coffee I purchased.* I have enjoyed drinking Red Rooster coffee at FloydFest and also at the Little Green Hive in Roanoke. I purchased a bag of whole-bean Old Crow Cuppa Joe at the Fresh Market in Roanoke earlier this year and I was amazed at the quality. The coffee is rich and smooth with beautiful chocolate notes. It is definitely my favorite, local blend.

I’ve been to so many roasters throughout the states and this is not one to pass up. Excellent coffee that is still well priced, simple and delicious food menu too. I love the coffee vending machine!

EXCELLENT ESPRESSO. Geez. Really cool spot. Great environment. If you're in to specialty coffee you gotta check it out

Great coffee; super friendly staff. If you drink your coffee outside on the porch when they're roasting beans, you'll get the added bonus of coffee goodness aroma.

The coffee is excellent. The staff members are delightful and knowledgeable. But perhaps more importantly than any of these things, Red Rooster is an intrinsic part of the soul of Floyd. This town would be much poorer without this place. If you live here year-round or you're only passing through this town, you owe it to yourself to drop by and get a drink.

The coffee is good, but the atmosphere seems a little bourgeois hipster, and honestly in downtown Roanoke or Blacksburg, it might work. Also I feel like a coffee/tea house should at least have the standard black tea in additional to the (I'm being facetious) soy free quinoa lattes.

Fabulous! EAT THE BLUEBERRY LEMON BISCUIT or regret it for the rest of your life. Excellent coffee! Employees went above and beyond: I brought my dog (who naturally is not allowed inside) and even though the facility isn't designed for the staff to wait on you at the table, they came outside and did just that to accommodate me. Will be back!

Great coffee, egg & cheese biscuit was huge

The coffee is great, the staff is friendly, and the baked goods are delicious. Specialty coffees for two and a treat for under $13, it's honestly hard NOT to recommend supporting this awesome local coffee business over an overpriced corporate behemoth.

A great independent coffee shop that showcases their own roasted coffees, teas, and even syrups! Grab and go foods and fresh baked goods round out the offerings.
Vegan and gluten free items are on the menu as well as standard fare. The friendly baristas, spacious building, ample parking (on both sides of the building), and clean restrooms make this a great destination for both locals and people visiting the area!
