Loved the interior and vibe; spacious and open. The pastries looked good - we got their almond scone and it was different than other scones, crumbly and like a biscuit. The brewed coffee was good as well as their latte. Their matcha latte was a bit on the sweet side.

The coffee, cake and aesthetic of this cafe are amazing. They have options for tea if coffee isn’t your thing along with a variety of baked goods.

It can be pretty crowded with students, so make sure to see if you can snag a seat. That said, it’s pretty quiet for how populated it is. If you have to get work done, this is the place to do so!

Their coffee here is nice and strong and flavorful. I had the latte with almond milk and it was delicious. They only have one size for all their espresso drinks. It runs a little small. The cup looks tiny although we were told it was a 12oz cup. Very pricey cup of coffee for such a small cup. Large selection of tasty looking pastry and cakes. We got the pepperoni pizza pastry has a nice glaze that gave it a nice flavor. and the Nutella twist was very nutty, flaky and crunchy. Nice ambiance and very trendy place.

Might just be the best coffee in Fairfax. Everything about this place is quality. The coffee is well roasted and tastes delicious, not burnt or stale. Their pastries are equally as good. I'm not sure if they are baked in house but they look like they are. Even the ambiance of the coffee shop is great. It has a very minimalist, industrial look while still feeling inviting and warm. I believe it used to be a warehouse space which lends to that aesthetic. This place is super clean and still remains somewhat of a secret due to its location on the back of the shopping center. If you are popping in to grab freshly roasted beans or staying for awhile to knock out some work this place will not disappoint.

A really nice coffee shop with an entrance hidden at the back of the buildings for the shopping center (where trucks normally do deliveries). Google Maps got the directions right, but they felt like a mistake until we showed up right at the entrance. Great specialty coffee roasted nicely (light and fruity), nice atmosphere. Very crowded on a weekend day, but their long tiered bench provides some extra seating for people without computers and worked out pretty well for us.

As the quarter was coming to a close and seeing that I was failing 3 classes and barely passing 2 other classes, I needed a place that was lowkey, chill, and somewhat quiet to do all my missing assignments to bring my grades up. Foundation Coffee is the perfect place to go to grab a coffee ft. beautiful designs using froth/milk, or tea, along with some amazing snacks so far, to do your work. There are tables, stools, and sitting stairs for you and your buds to go and get some work done. Because of it's location behind the Fair City Mall, not many people know this coffee shop unless they're looking for exactly what I looked for. The free wifi was also pretty darn fast as well. Now, I go there nearly every weekday considering it's a 17 minute drive- which is 100% worth it (personally).

I love the layout. Looks very clean as you enter and cozy when you settle in. They nailed the coffee shop vibe. Classical music, lots of people meeting up, and can watch the baristas at work if you can’t focus.

Their roasted beans are on point. I got chocolate / nutty notes in my latte.. makes me want to try an americano to get a full profile taste. It is very smooth.

Very humble and nice owner with an awesome vision for this place.

Fantastic local coffee shop. Drink menu isn’t huge but everything is very good and they have tons of pastries and baked goods. Tables, bar seating, and stadium seating as well with plenty of outlets for those who like to work at coffee shops.

The pastries in this Korean Bakery are light, layered with complex tastes, and delicious. Coffees and coffee drinks are excellent and handcrafted. A chill vibe for working or conversation. This is my “clean well-lighted place.”

Best espresso out of any cafe I've been to in a long time... If you're in the area I highly recommend- Beautiful latte art and superb drink quality for a very reasonable price. Coming from a barista, this is definitely one of my top coffeeshop picks ever.
