When I think of Blacksburg, I think of Bollos. It embodies what I love best about this town: chill, grassroots, and focused on the community as much as their craft (which is incredible). Cheap mug coffee and wifi so you can just so and study of read the newspaper or simply play a board game (of which they have many). I have seen "hipster" coffee joints, and this isn't pandering to that crowd; it's rough around the edges in the best possible way. The energy wasted at Blue Bottle or the like at making a sleek clinical environment is put into the people, the business, the town, and—of course—the coffee (or tea or smoothies or whatever beverage you desire to get you moving). I love Bollos so much and I don't think you could replicate it anywhere if you tried. Because trying to be like Bollos would be the antithesis of Bollos: unapologeticaly itself, proud of it, and an inspiration to its town and patrons to be the same.

Cozy low-key atmosphere with a nice selection of baked goods!
The chocolate chip rosemary scone I got was a little bland, and the espresso in my americano was very dark and not flavorful. (I am picky about espresso and like brighter notes, admittedly.)
Pricing on the baked goods and coffee drinks were a good value, though.

Fantastic quality on coffees, teas, and bakery items. Really appreciate the gluten free Tuesdays and Saturdays!! One of my absolute favorite local spots.

Very comfy and cozy place I go calm and cool. I love tea and this place offers tea lovers hundreds of teas to tour. Upon my last visit, Bollos was celebrating 25yrs of serving some of thee Best Brews and Bakings in the Blacksburg community. Ive also had the artisan made figs, which are among my favorites.

Looking for a quick, filling, gluten free bite? After finding out that I have gluten intolerance, I have been in search for places that offer a variety of gluten free goods. Being fresh and scratch made always definitely a plus. I stopped by Bollos Cafe today to find some tasty gluten free items and a really good mocha. Every Tuesday and Saturday they top their bakery shelf with gluten free baked goods. I decided on a berry banana muffin and a mocha from their satisfying coffee- lovers menu. My taste buds found everything spot on. The muffin was fluffy and fresh. Like warm banana bread with a pop of berries. Yes! My mocha was a perfect temperature and hit that perfect blend of espresso /chocolate (some places just focus on the espresso) not the case here. While browsing I also noticed some vegan baked goods and fresh bread loaves which look like if you could eat, you should eat 😉

Such a variety of vegan baked goods! I loved the pumpkin muffin. The drinks and tea options are never ending!

Always love coming here- small town homey vibe that is amazing. The morning regulars make it feel like a small town version of Cheers. And the coffee and muffins are delicious!!

Always my preferred place to go. Best (and huge) muffins, best drip coffee and free refill with a house mug, great espressos. The bagels are great as well with a generous cream cheese portion. Usually people would just come here alone or with 1 other, to do work or chat, it can be hard to find a ton of seats, but the times Ive seen people come with more they work it out.

After speaking with other bakeries around Princeton and the New River Valley, I had Bollo's make my fiancée's 40th birthday cake. It had to be gluten-free, but still tasty and light. We went with a vanilla chiffon with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting. Bollo's hit it out of the park! You would never know it was gluten-free. We took home a loaf of gluten-free bread, too. It was delicious! We will be coming to Bollo's for all our bakery needs. Thank you guys so much for making such as awesome cake for us!

I've been stopping by this place whenever I come to Blacksburg for the past several years. Today I stopped in during the town event, and I spent $16 on coffee and pastries. After receiving it, and hanging out a little while, I asked to use the bathroom and was told it was closed to the public. I understand not offering a public restroom during the event, but I was a paying customer who just ordered pastries and coffee. I desperately needed a bathroom!
I will not be making my regular stop to Bollos when I'm in town anymore. This is poor customer service and I'm disappointed in the management decision to do this.
