Sorry, zero stars to any company that refuses cash. Especially considering how many gift cards I bought from this place during Covid to keep the company alive.

Espresso on point, really good local coffee spot. When in Crystal City, this is a place to visit for fresh brewed coffee, nice digs, and solid staff.

As a resident of The Bartlett apartment complex, with award winning amenity spaces, I have to wholeheartedly endorse Commonwealth Joe's, hereafter referred to as CWJ. The shop as a whole manages to take on a very natural and unforced hipster vibe, with eclectic coffee offerings, staff, and clientele. These guys take coffee quality seriously and even have their own roasting facility in the DC area. Try one of their on tap cold brews or seasonal beverages for a treat. The barista with the huge beard is pretty cool.

Great coffee, great staff, and descent visitors. I have not had a single bad experience over the last 6 months in this places.

When visiting new places I look for coffee shops that are local. This is a fabulous place, coffee delicious, and staff friendly.

Made this my morning ride destination and they didn’t disappoint. Might not need to go into DC for my pour over fix anymore. The Blue Ridge Bluff is like that! Super delicious dark roast (could see my reflection in it) blew my mind. Also had their seasonal iced cookie crumble latte which was not too sweet. Dope to see an all female crew behind the bar doing their thing. I ordered a pour over on a steady morning and could still see (and later on taste) the time and care taken to make it great. Thanks for a great first taste experience!

We were staying while on a brief trip to DC right around the corner and came to Commonwealth Joe for coffee. You can order ahead, which was super convenient. The pumpkin cookie butter latte was phenomenal as was the blend I brought home with me. They even gave me samples. I had to go back again the next day for another latte before we headed home. Definitely check them out!

I went on a Saturday morning, there was no one in line, maybe 2 people waiting on drinks and 4 people working but they still refuse to make pourover because it was a weekend.

Awesome shop and friendly people. I went here as a quick stop during a conference and the coffee surpassed my expectations so much that I went back again later that day. Definitely worth a stop if you enjoy coffee or coffee beverages. I also purchased some of their merch which was well priced and fun.

The is a must go to local coffee shop in Pentagon City. The crew is so amazing and the drinks are always hot and delicious.
