Used to love coming to this place. My last 5 recent visits were disappointing. Coffee was burnt and bitter.

I love the roasting of the beans. The beans have excellent flavor and the coffee was superb. And I love that it is Virginia tech affiliated! Go Hokies!

The coffee and the breakfast pastries are great, but unfortunately the service the last two times (especially today), has been horrible. The people working there are nice, but they are way too busy to handle the amount of people in there. More help is needed. I went in today to get a regular drip coffee and a muffin....walked out 20 minutes later with the wrong size slightly warm drip coffee (paid for a medium and got a small), and with an almond croisant. For a Monday morning, I would hope they would have re-stocked their pastries (out of muffins and close to running out of mostly everything). I wasn't going to go and complain back in line to get the right size coffee after waiting 20 minutes.

I come here every few weeks and enjoy it. My go-to is an oat milk mocha. I recently tried one of the croissants and a chocolate chip brownie; both were delicious. The staff is friendly and quick.

My only complaint - as of mid-May 2021, they are still not allowing customers to bring in reusable mugs due to pandemic reasons. The science has shown that surface transmission of the coronavirus is really not a threat. Let’s follow the science, get back to being environmentally friendly, and let customers bring in reusable mugs again.

I really like this place. And I’d rather get coffee here than a national chain. I’m just disappointed in their app ordering system. Once, I ordered a croissant with my coffee only to arrive and they were out of croissants and the poor barista couldn’t do a refund to my card. Another time I ordered through their app and arrived 12 minutes later and they hadn’t even started my order. I had to wait 10 minutes longer to receive my order and that made me late for an appointment. But the coffee is good and the croissants are great. They just need to work a little harder with their app ordering.

Seasonal flavours are a must try. Skip the starbucks beside CMJs. Only downside are the hours. Wish they were open longer!

The almond croissant is great. Fluffy, tastes, delicious. They have a huge selection on lattes, iced lates, and cold brews. Nice vibe

The ambiance and coffee are really nice but the prices are alright.

My favorite coffee shop in the area. I love coming here for great fresh brewed coffee. I’ve had iced coffee, cold brew, lattes, pour overs, and chai tea lattes and all have been excellent. Quick and friendly service. Walking distance from the Pentagon city metro. High recommend.
