For Five Coffee Alexandria

Great coffee, but they have some unique items on the menu with no description. The barista had to explain it to three people while I was there.

Best cafe meets restaurant I’ve been to in Alexandria. The food was so good (so many healthy options) and the matcha was great. Great service, too. Oh and the cookies (we can’t wait to go back for those).

Had 45 min to kill so I decided to hang out here just because it was nearby. Love this shop! I got an iced chai and a fingertip cookie (because their cookie selection seemed so impressive). Chai was amazing, one of the best I’ve ever had. Cookie was good too just VERY rich and large, so I’ll be working on it for a few hours I think. Very nice vibe and music. Bathroom is beautiful, smells good. and clean. Staff seemed nice and I got my order quickly. Would definitely love to come back here or another location.

just had the iced mocha and i swear it is the best one i have ever had in my life. 100/10 recommend!

Came here on a Saturday morning and ordered 2 cortados and a cold brew. After paying I watched stunned as the barista used two shots that had to of been pulled before we even walked in the door. We were the only people in there at the time, which is just ridiculous to pull shots ahead of time when you aren’t busy. The shots were sitting there at a minimum a couple of minutes. As expected the cortado tasted disgusting. The cold brew also tasted extremely weak and acidic, the opposite of what a cold brew should taste like. The food looked excellent with huge portion sizes, but we didn’t get any so I can’t review it. Will not be coming back.

Delightful spot. Great coffee, delicious pastries, and all of the food I tried was delicious.

Normally outstanding but today’s barista delivered a latte that you’d expect to have at Starbucks: no foam or latte art, just a shot of espresso w scolding hot milk dumped in. Not up to For Five standards.

Acai bowl is huge, beautiful, and delicious. Hortchata cinnamon pancakes taste amazing and have edible gold stars on top! Coffee and hot chocolate are great too. Food is very expensive for a coffee shop -- more like fancy restaurant prices. Worth it for a splurge!

The atmosphere was nice, and there were many varieties of baked goods. My only concerns are that I didn't notice any gluten-free options, and a latte and muffin were $14. There was no sign showing the price of the muffin. Sandwiches ran around $19.95. DC area is expensive, but even this is a little steep. It was at a good location.

Decent cold brew, but I used to go for the good pour over coffee. Tried to order one today and all the barista said was “we don’t have that here”. Not sure why it’s still on the menu or why they have the kettle, scale and grinder on the counter.
