Main Street cafe

Food is fantastic! Service is usually great once in a while something gets forgotten; my husband's side of bacon; but aside from that one oops I think it's awesome.

I don't know if we hit a bad day or what. Was told the place was good but when we went you waited to be seated. The place wasn't busy the waitress gave us menus and a couple minutes later, noticed as she was cleaning tables off, she was disinfecting table but not the ketchup, salt, pepper or chairs. I noticed a couple young cooks taking a side door to smoke. When the came in they went right into the kitchen and back at cooking again. I asked for a med well burger and it was rare. The bun was upside down and I went to flip it and the top was all grease. Like I said, maybe hot the place at a bad time but nonetheless we won't be going back anytime soon. And the waitress was not wearing a mask at all. You don't try to make it look good by wiping table and nothing else.

This was a surprise stop for us. One well spent. The food was really great (not everyone can get a poached egg right. But these guys nailed it. LOL) The service was super the menu was nice, they also offer gluten-free items. We will stop in again the next time through Wallingford.

We invaded them with a crowd of over twenty people. We had great service and food. Best of all, my brother paid!
