Main entrance doors were closed off so we had to enter through this side door which was kind of awkward. The decor has potential but was a little bit of a mess, maybe they are redecorating. Ordered the tuna melt and was underwhelmed. They were generous with the tuna which was probably equal to about five cans but it was very salty. I would have given it three stars but the milkshake alone deserved a star. That was the highlight of the visit.
Love this place. Great food, great service. There was only one server handling several large groups, and she was amazing. So calm and polite.. the eggs Benedict was amazing, hollandaise sauce was so yummy. You could tell it was made from scratch and in house, so fresh and delicious! We will be back for sure..
Main Street Cafe offers a classic, down home diner experience with generous portions of freshly prepared meals. Breakfast is a must. The owner, Terry, works the tables and creates a welcoming environment.
Stopped by to avoid Rutland crowds. I gauge any place for breakfast solely on Eggs Benedict. Theirs was the complete package. Wonderful Hollandaise sauce, THICK Canadian Bacon, not too crisp English muffin, and perfectly poached eggs. Extremely satisfying.
Stopped here for breakfast heading from Rutland to Connecticut. Food was good, prices very reasonable, and service was great! Kim did a great job being the only server with several tables going. Would defiantly stop again! Thanks!
While food is reasonable, it's not amazing. Waitress is and can be somewhat rude at times. Delivers wrong item and visible upset when questioned about the wrong order. We've frequent the place and this seems to be common. Also cup of coffee is absolutely expensive and if you get a refill you are lucky.
