Great spot to enjoy an espresso by the river. Bakery items are homemade and delicious

The Sweet Spot storefront may be tough to find for those cruising through town, but it's well worth looking for! Their spicy chocolate ice cream and candied apples were AMAZING! All ingredients are locally sourced and I agree with the other reviewers - the owners are awesome! If you're looking for a tasty treat to bring back home, this is your spot...Enjoy!

I had the best BLT I've ever had, with flavorful yellow tomatoes, much-needed & very caffeinated coffee, and a delicious raspberry bar. I had a nearly impossible time choosing. Very sweet staff, excellent service, and about 50 feet from a wonderful old covered bridge.

I have to say.... the internet is full of vicious people. When I go to The Sweet Spot, I encounter impatient tourists that think they’re at McDonalds, Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. They don’t realize that quality, unique, foods and drink take time. I go to Sweet Spot daily. My longest wait, when busy, has been five minutes. And the food and drink are well worth the wait. Urbanites and non Foodies have no patience. The owners John and Sarina do an awesome job. John is quite funny and handsome. Sarina is witty and strikingly beautiful. Together they make it a pleasure to visit, eat and drink in the beautiful Mad River Valley of Waitsfield Vermont. We highly recommend the Mocha Latte, Ice Coffee (with or with out ice) and the delicious baked goods and sandwiches. Don’t trust the bad reviews, they’re just impatient “outerstaters”. Life is slower here, enjoy it. And... by the way... they do this all as a small business in a seasonal town during a pandemic. WOW!

Delicious food particularly the very well concieved main dish salad. Frittata also excellent and terrific buy at $5. Sweet service, your choice of eating indoors with nice art and enticing cooking smells, or outside at picnic tables overlooking the river. I wish I could transport this place to my hometown, except l couldn't afford it because food this good costs twice this much in Seattle, and yet more any place with a view.

So... this is a cute place. However, I mean.. honestly.. I have never received food that was more overpriced, ever. Do not order the baguette here. It is about 6 inches long.. bread... about 4 oz of meat... and a very small amount of cheese... $9 and tax. It was the saddest, smallest sandwich I have ever got from anywhere. The Bahn Mi was fine.. still... i mean.. c'mon.. Honestly, just take this item off the menu...

A "sweet spot" in the Mad River Valley. Came here after a half day of skiing to get a bit of work done. Vast selection of coffee, sandwiches, bowls, smoothies, cookies, treats, and other drinks. Nice seating, quick service, and quality, local ingredients. GF/DF/Vegan options are also available. Easy parking, friendly staff.

We loved the Sweet Spot! Our lattes were great (not too sweet) & the scones were perfect. Try the date/walnut or mixed berry scones 👍

Had a little trouble locating, but it was worth the effort! Had a delicious (as promised) cup of coffee with a yummy scone. Enjoyed at the picnic table in the adjacent park along the river. Very nice morning coffee spot! Thank you.

The eggplant sandwich is memorable. Awesome ice cream and baked goods. Johnny and Serena really go out of their way to use local and organic ingredients. The setting especially sitting outside is 5* ++.
