Amazing spot off the road and right on the river. The strawberry rhubarb homemade pop tart was incredible as well as the savory potato egg and cheese. Great mid-bike snack break!

Run don't walk to this special gem of a coffee house and bakery. This is my first stop when I get to the Valley, and my last stop before I leave. Everything they do is top notch. And it's some of the best coffee in a wide vicinity (both beans and espresso drinks). While they started as an ice cream shop, and I love their ice cream (and ice cream sandwiches!!!), their savory food is prepared with such care and attention to detail, it is incredibly delicious. In the setting of a gorgeous garden, next to one of Vermont's best covered bridges. What's not to love. Oh, and get in on one of their special Wednesday night dinners. You won't be sorry.

The outdoor eating area overlooking the river is very pleasant. Drinks and treats were good as well. Perfect rainy day chilling!

The Sweet Spot was literally our go to spot all weekend long! Breakfast is amazing and I love that they had hard boiled eggs. The coffee was so great and the food was amazing. My sister had her rehearsal dinner here and the food was so phenomenal. The staff was so friendly and great too!!! This was definitely a highlight of the weekend!

The Sweet Spot has amazing coffee drinks available, and the taste is arguably the best in The Mad River Valley. The staff there are super relaxed and chill. Go try it out, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend getting the iced mocha latte.

A huge piece of beautiful quiche, a perfect cup of locally roasted quality, a private table in the sun overlooking the Mad River flowing under a covered bridge... this place is lovely.
The only place to get a good cup of coffee in the valley, so far as I know.
I’ve had their quiche, breakfast sandwich, and egg popover and they cook their [local!] eggs to perfection.

Arguably best Cafe on Earth! In all seriousness, there is no place I've ever been to that has the atmosphere, fresh cooked food, and amazing coffee like the Sweet Spot. Need some work done? Quiet with room to use a laptop as well as enjoy a nice view of the historic covered bridge and Mad River. It's a must stop place to be if you're driving through. It truly is sweet.

we were lucky enough to stop by a few weeks ago to get coffee after hiking mt abe - coffee was good, but the pastries were fabulous! - having grown up in Europe and being used to French- or Swiss-style pastries, we very much enjoyed what they bake at the Sweet Spot: not too sweet, perfect ratio of dough and toppings/fillings - simply delicious!

Beautiful setting next to the river and a covered bridge. It was so nice sitting outside. Pastries looked delicious, but I had ice cream, which had no flavor. I wouldn't buy it again, but if ever in the area again I'd give it a second chance with a coffee and pastry, since other reviews for those items are good.

This place is GREAT. The best you'll find in a fifty mile radius. The owner's/operator's understand the importance of organic ingredients. They roast their own organic fair trade coffee beans. The backdrop is quintessential Vermont. The food is consistently yummy. Pass by the rest and have the best around.
