Speakeasy Café

I was lucky to find this place while I was in town great coffee and baked goods. Great saff as well.
And my breakfast sandwich was made with a fresh fried egg and local sausage. Awesome.

Best coffee in Rutland. They use VT organic coffee Co. as the base and make tons of speciality lattes. Home style breakfast sandwiches take a little time to make but are totally worth the wait.

This is a cozy little place locally owned by an intelligent, hard-working considerate person who has great helpers.

cool little coffee shop. i really liked this place because they had specialty drinks that you wouldn’t normally be able to find at other coffee shops. i got a dandelion latte! yuuuum. they also have dairy free milk and a bunch of snacks!

Barista didn't seem to want to be there and it showed.

Great coffee!!! Servers are very friendly and helpful without being condescending which I always appreciate. Large variety of scones and biscuits for a small coffee house.

Found myself in the area and decided to get a mug of coffee. The days trash was sitting on the bench out front of the shop. I asked for a mug of coffee, and was handed a disposable cup. It bugged me because mugs are reusable, and I planned to drink my coffee in the shop. The employees were acting like the shop was about to close, but there were still 45 minutes left. I didn't receive what I was hoping for. The employees kept talking about what time it was, then talking about how this was their friday and that they would be getting drunk tonight. I was pretty taken back by the bad service, and unprofessional speak of the employees. I won't be back.

Excellent espresso coffees. Delicious baked goods. St Viateur bagels! Friendly staff. Every town should have a cafe as good as this. Lucky Rutland.
