O'Maddi's Deli & Cafe

Nice place. The owner was super friendly and willing to accommodate my Keto diet. Great scrambled eggs with cheddar and the bacon and sausage were perfectly cooked as well. Definately worth a visit.

I just moved to Northfield and was VERY pleased with O'Maddi's. My family and I went yesterday afternoon for lunch and the the menu had a lot of unique and yummy-sounding options to choose from. Honestly, we all had a hard time choosing. You can get a regular sandwich custom-made, of course, but the huge variety of unique sandwiches on the menu, each filled with carefully paired ingredients to maximize the flavor experience, makes me wonder why anybody would want to venture very far off the menu their first few times ordering. Oh, and the scones! So good.

The place is vegetarian friendly, and the staff is friendly as well. The business operates sort of as two businesses, with breakfast and lunch being one thing, then for dinner they transition from a deli/cafe to a more formal family restaurant with a separate menu. I haven't tried dinner there yet, so I can't speak to that.

I'll be back though. I can easily see myself eating there at least once a week.

Edit: I went back for dinner. My girlfriend and I both had a delicious meal. The dinner menu is not extensive, but everything on it looks good. As we expected, the service was still fantastic.

This is the best breakfast place hands down! The staff are very friendly and food tastes amazing and fresh. Try the breakfast wrap with tots, it’s me and my wife’s favorite!

Great food, Bad service. Loved my bagel, the combo of cheese, bacon, egg, and jam was a great mix. The sun was in our eyes so we closed the curtain, but the waitress closed it saying, "We have it closed for a reason, go buy some sunglasses."

O’Maddi’s fits a niche not available elsewhere in Central Vermont. Freshly made deli food, breakfast options, large menu, homemade baked goods and lots of drink options including alcohol. People are friendly, prices are fair, and they’re always busy so that’s a sure sign of quality!

Good food, pleasant service. Three stars because the kitchen is sometimes slower than I would like. Often crowded because, many times of the day/week, it's the only decent place to get a meal in our little town.

Low prices, great food. When I lived in the NYC area, I tried to always have a hamburger, if they offered it, as a gauge as to how the rest of the food would be. O'Maddi's didn't disappoint. I had the bacon, bleu cheese burger. It comes with a side of fried, that I didn't notice on the menu. As a result I ordered a side of sweet potato tater tots. The burger I ordered medium well, because this was my first time here and I wanted to be a little careful.
The burger was excellently proportioned. It wasn't skimpy but not overly thick. It was outside the bun slightly, but not unmanageable. It possessed a memory inducing char flavour that every burger should have. I was juicy but didn't drop all over the place or soak the bun. The lettuce was not your standard Iceberg and a nice surprise. The tomatoes were fine, but obviously not local fresh as it is early November. The bun was almost my favorite part. I'm not sure what it was, but it was amazing. It didn't have that slightly dry, acrid taste that most establishments (that don't charge you $25 without fries), will serve you. The tots tasted very fresh. If they weren't made from scratch I'd be floored. They were served with a side dip of a clear, sweet mustard sauce. Wonderful compliment!
Although my wife was very happy with her scrambler, I did not try it so I couldn't comment, but she was VERY happy to see that they had gotten Free options to help with her sensitivity.

Awesome little deli...stopped in without knowing anything about the place. Had some of the best fried green beans I've ever had. The sweet potato tater tots were also great. Highly recommend O'Maddi's!!!.

Quaint cafe with a ton of items, I got a wrap which was really fresh however I wish it had a little more dressing on it.
