If you ignore the campy decor, you’ll enjoy the big portions and good food. Staff is super friendly and efficient post Covid-19. They were extremely conscientious about disinfecting and giving you onetime use condiments. Call ahead and let them know you’ll be eating in.
We had “The Beast” which includes eggs, bacon, sausage, home fires, toast, and pancakes! The maple syrup is real and warm. Also had an egg white omelette with an over abundance of spinach, tomato and ham. All for a reasonable price.

Food was great, service even better. Dan was so personable with the right amount of sas and sweet. Our breakfast came out quick and hot, cooked to perfection. The mimosa was just the right champagne to oj ratio, coffee was awesome and the waitstaff were very attentive and chatted each time they dropped something off. Highly recommended, we will be back!

Food was delicious! Would give 5 stars but the home fries did not have a lot of taste to them. The omelette was amazing! The staff were great, service was fast and great atmosphere! Would definitely eat here again.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time!! They made French toast out of homemade banana bread and blueberry bread ... GENIUS. I am from Boston, back in VT this weekend again for skiing and I am DEFINITELY going out of my way to stop at back country cafe for breakfast on the way home 😎 also our waiter was amazing... forgot his name but if we have him again today I will update this post :) I left my purse in the restaurant and he chased me out the door to hand it to me...... saved me so much money and time

Pretty good food but ready for a long wait. Even on a busy post ski day Sunday morning, the line for a table wasn't that long and we were seated quickly. However, it took almost 30 minutes to have our order taken and over an hour for the food to come out. The decor is great with bear and deer heads and a nice back country theme. The coffee was hot and tasty though again, the milk took a long time to come out and the coffee was cold by then. The food was all great and were huge portions. The breakfast burrito was very good, though entirely vegetarian, so I ordered a side of chorizo to add in and it never came. The maple syrup hot sauce they have and sell is phenomenal. I regret not bringing some home. Makes a good breakfast if not in a rush and to go along with a long day skiing.

I have dreams about their lemon blueberry cheesecake french toast - I kid you not! They have wonderful service and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I especially wanted to publicly thank server Ashley. She gave A+ service and was super friendly. I hope to have her again the next time I come up for a visit!

Love this place and will definitely be back! Amazing service and the highlight was definitely the Irish poached eggs with Hash. Banana bread French toast was good but extremely hearty. Mexican scramble was amazing.

The service was exquisite! Absolutely lovely! The pancakes were scrumptious and it is a must come back. The hot chocolate was at an absolutely fantastic temperature. And the bacon was ding dong!

Very tasty breakfast, with huge portions, but a bit pricey. Was hoping for more of a diner. Also interesting selection of hot sauces for sale, but to have some to try with breakfast a $2 up charge...? The food was great and the cocktails coming out of t he kitchen looked even better. My 20 month old ate a pancake the size of his head with bananas.... he had never gone in for a pancake before, so that's really saying something.... We also tried the corn beef hash which was phenomenal as well as a portobella omelette...also fabulous. I would definitely dine here again, but maybe for a special occasion.
