What can be said about this small town oasis? It is pleasant, eloquent, and can provide quality food as well as amazing drinks. This place is what you're looking for in a cafe/restaurant. Stop in and enjoy this fine establishment. Relax, eat & drink, and be merry.

Great dinner, wonderful service, and we were able to eat outside. Great night as usual!

Food was excellent as always. Chef Evan is one of the best in the area and I feel him and his staff don't get as much recognition as they should. Our service was great and I also enjoyed my Old Fashion from their craft cocktail menu. We will be back.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The food and atmosphere are amazing, and the service is unbeatable. I was lucky enough to live within walking distance for 5 years and now that I have moved I actually make special trips and drive over an hour for a "JCat fix" and to bring extra peanut butter pie back to my friends in Plattsburgh NY.

The server was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. The owner came out and asked how the meal was and that he appreciates our service. We will definitely be back again I gotta try the brisket it looked and smelled so good.

Server and manager friendly and professional. Service was very slow. Not the server's fault she was given tables before she arrived to work, so we sat waiting. Appetizer arrived before drinks, had calamari which was good, peppers in calamari were excellent. I ordered falafel burger which was ok. Tzatziki sauce was terrible I was expecting a more traditional tzatziki sauce, it was not, tasted more like sour cream then Greek yogurt. The mashed potatoes were very good. My kids ordered cheese quesadilla and grilled chicken both with fries kids enjoyed their meals. And our server was great with kids. My wife ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf consistency of meat was odd more like pate and covered in bbq sauce, this was sent back. Server and manger tried to make things better and succeeded they adjusted the check generously and we based our gratuity on the full bill. They sent us home with plenty of desserts as well, this was appreciated. I really want to like this place but it has been hit or miss nearly every time, different owners. The staff is friendly and they do try to make their customers happy. I hope they can correct these issues and the place would be a great experience. The manager should not have to make things right at the end. I'm sure we will try it again in the future it has a cozy atmosphere and a really nice porch.

I've been to JCAT a lot over the years, but today everything was outstanding. The deck seating, perfectly cooked food, yummy drinks, the friendliest staff, a great chat with the owner on the way up the driveway.
I definitely recommend the calamari, Brussels, and buttermilk chicken sandwich 🤗

Went here upon recommendation as being one of the few places that offer a decent cup of coffee closer to European standards. The coffee is great and the cakes are fantastic. They have a nice little selection and the taste is great!! Definitely worth a trip for coffee, cake or both. They also offer lunch which is very good.

I was then taken here by my colleagues for a lunch meeting and the setting is very relaxing and nice. The welcome was very nice and friendly and we were asked whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. We choose outside and were directed outside and we could pick our table. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming and eager to help. She was attentive without being too intrusive and happy to offer feedback advice when asked about the menu.

The food was served quickly and the taste was very good. It tasted fresh and you could taste the good quality and ingredients. The price for the food was more than reasonable and the quality was high. All in all a very good and enjoyable restaurant. The pies are delicious and worth a try.
