I hit this place a couple of times during my trip to Vermont. Staff was very friendly and patient, even when a line started building up. The interior design sense was classic diner but make it edgy. Sandwiches were good, donuts were great. And I don't even like donuts. Everything looked super clean and run efficiently.
I thought the fried chicken egg was a really cool concept, and tasty at that. It was a bit too heavy on the number 8 sandwich, and was greatly improved with tartar sauce and the bun instead of the biscuit.
Don’t miss these amazing breakfast sandwiches on the most delicious homemade milk buns and biscuits - soft, silky eggs are rolled into crispy griddled cheese - add avocado to get your veg on. And you cannot miss the bonuts - crispy, chewy magical biscuit doughnuts glazed to perfection. 10/10 recommend for all your breakfast brunch and lunch cravings.
BEST PLACE EVER! seriously didn’t even notice that there was no meat the first 2 times we went! Great flavors and the people are even better! Also you have to try the bonut we had the parsley one today and I’m actually dead it’s so good. Thank you for just being here and killing it.
Amazing food & owners. I originally got to know The Cafe HOT. because they donated coffee to the National Eating Disorder Association Walk in Burlington in 2022 (and again in 2023). After the walk in 2022 I wanted to try their food out, so I went and got the chicken fried egg sandwich - I was a little unsure of it at first, but after taking a bite I was immediately won over. I love their breakfast sandwiches, I love their coffee, and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful people. I am really happy they are in Burlington.
First off, the food is amazing. I dream about their breakfast sandwiches. I only give it four stars because there isn’t much seating and the ordering area is also small. People tend to bunch up and block the entrance - which then causes the employees to yell at the customers in a rude manner.
Delightful and surprising flavors, biscuits that flake and crumble but hold up to being a sandwich, coffee and treats, and eggs fried like chicken? This place is a gem. And vegetarian!
You'll find me voraciously eating a breakfast sandwich from this place every chance I get. Not a single option on the menu that isn't amazing. Coffee is always spot on. Staff is delightful. I love this place and am so grateful it's in our community.
Thoughts as i began my breakfast. That breakfast sandwich..damn..the flavors..first the sauce..then the burnt cheese...ending with some spice. The cappuccino..oh wow..That's why there is an old church bench to sit on. This is a spiritual experience. Get it now. Damn that's good.
There are only a handful of places this good in the entire country. Worth traveling a LONG way to have anything off this menu. This place is going to be legendary. Let the awards start rolling in!
