Morty's Cafe: St. George

I never write reviews. The burgers, fries, and shakes were amazing! But an employee stood out to me the most. In fact, I asked him if he was the owner because I couldn’t believe how above and beyond he was going to take care of the customers. He checked on us to make sure nothing was messed up (which it wasn’t). A large group of 15 came in willing to spilt up but he said no, everyone eats as a family here and bustled about as quickly as possible to get them all situated together. Then quickly got napkins and condiments put on their table. It was after this that I asked him if he was the owner, and he replied that he just worked there. I let him know that my family owned a restaurant growing up and I never have seen a worker quite like him, to which he responded it’s about the food, but it’s also about the experience people have. Which is so true. The entry was filling up with customers so he ran over there, after making sure all the available tables were cleared off, to start making recommendations to people who had never been in. I’ve never seen an employee work as hard to make sure customers were taken care of! His name was Hyman I believe and he did a wonderful job at making our experience a great one!

Absolutely Amazing Ruben Sandwich. This is the best Ruben in town for sure. Fresh, homemade burgers and sandwiches. It was a real treat. Glad I ordered online cause they were packed with out the door lines.

The staff was beyond kind and helped when I didn't know what anything on the menu was. The scone fries were amazing! They should be enjoyed by all! The Reuben and Iconic were what we ordered and they both tasted great. And I'm a big fan of the fries.

11/26/22 This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. Unfortunately my stomach will not let me try everything on the menu. The staff is very professional and friendly, even with me staring at the menu trying to decide what to eat. The entire staff deserves a shout out, the only ones I got the names of were Swazi and Shyann. The food was great as well I had the Turkey Bacon Ranch with Sweet Potato Fries. This place is always busy and it makes sense why I would definitely recommend you give this place a try, you won't regret it.

I got the Hawaiian Burger. My wife got the Yucatán but substituted the chicken. Fries were perfect crispy and crunchy. The scone fries are a must! We tried them with the honey butter. Next time we will try them with the raspberry cheesecake. We came on a Tue and before 6 and it wasn't too busy. We beat the dinner rush hour though. This place is quick. We ordered got our drinks sat down and we basically had our food within 5 minutes. Great place to come. Kid friendly. Best Burger in St. George! Will be coming here everything we are in the area.

Fries were great, loved that they had Pepsi in their fountain. 2/3 of our burgers we're good. My wife got the Hawaiian burger and it was quite wet. This was probably due to pineapple in it somehow. I got the Mexican type burger with pepper jack and jalapenos. It was pretty good and was made quickly.

Great food! I had the Hawaiian Burger and it was delicious. The only reason I gave it four stars was the amount of fries they gave for an order of fries was pretty small.

I went back a second time and had the Mortician (special burger on the Friday I went) and it was a top 5 burger all time! Amazing... upped my review to 5* now! So, so, good!

I was so impressed with the staff at Morty’s. They got a table ready for our family and checked on us too. They had a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, and burritos. We loved the fries and will be back to try the scones. Thanks for a fun and delicious visit!

This place was pretty good. Not a long wait to get your food. The food was tasty and definitely not the normal run of the mill. If you are looking for some good food and want something fast and casual I would definitely give this a try. As I mentioned before, there menu has a bunch of unique items on it, but they aren't so strange that they are no longer approachable. They are unique and different.
