Alchemy Coffee

I used to live in the neighborhood about 10 years ago, and this was my go-to coffee shop every morning. This was my first trip back to SLC since then, and I made a point of stopping in both mornings. I missed this place! Alchemy isn't just the best coffee shop in SLC, it's right up there for being one of the best little coffee shops anywhere. Their espresso is so rich and has this amazingly complex flavor profile. Wow -- delicious! For a rather small shop, they also have an incredible selection of really fresh, high quality baked goods, not just a basket of plastic-wrapped cookies and muffins often offered by most other places. To top it off, Alchemy has a super cozy atmosphere, with exposed old brick and perfectly eclectic decor. And I can't neglect to mention the wonderfully friendly staff. Thank you! Mike made the best oat milk latte I’ve had in a minute! Employees are friendly and helpful. I’m so pleased that this shop is in my neighborhood. Try the pesto basil roll with aioli! You won’t be disappointed.

Such good coffee in a cool local joint. Even better it was suggested by another business in the area. When I come back to Salt Lake City I will be coming back here.

This latte was a galaxy of happiness in my cup! Besides the perfect espresso, it's an amazing little hangout to relax and pass so time.

Amazing coffee available in a variety of sizes allowing for optimal caffeine intake. Great cosy ambiance, although it can be a bit dark later in the day. Do you're self a favor and support this long standing local coffee shop.

My favorite coffee shop in all of Salt Lake City. Great workers and an awesome atmosphere. I definitely recommend the dirty chai frappacino or the avocado toast!!

Pretty cool place, unique retro atmosphere. Avocado toast was great, well-seasoned. Cucumber slices on the side were a nice touch. Spicy chai was okay. Not a ton of flavor but it still hit the spot.

The barista was excellent; she was knowledgeable and confident in her recommendations, while flexible should there be any issues (I wouldn't be surprised if any similar addendum is resultant from the gender-neutral Karens). In any case, she was great and the drinks were excellent. If I lived closer, it would be my regular cafe.
