I really hope all of you giving this place lots of stars are reviewing the coffee because these were the WORST crepes I have ever had. We got 3 different kinds and they were all bad. They were WAY too thick and a fruit crepe should not be served hot. The fruit inside was almost non existant and super gross... like the strawberries were frozen and then cooked and refrozen then defrosted and then added to call it a strawberry crepe.

A fruit filled $10 crepe should look like this... just as a reference!!

The coffee here tastes like Christmas, if that makes sense? In the BEST way possible. I don't ever write reviews, but I've been going here on and off for years now and somehow fall in love more and more every time with the changing of seasons. Absolutely friendly staff, amazing crepes, even better baked goods in the front glass - definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in all of Utah (especially Salt Lake valley). 11/10 recommend

Wonderful chill environment. Chill coffee shop vibes. Small business. Soothing music. Indoor and outdoor seating. Calming environment. Sweet and kind staffing. Conveniently next too two bus routes. Great place to spend your morning, especially if you like to peacefully draw in the am.

This place is great. Old house, real staff, hip feeling, amazing coffee and really goid food. Made with love. Open Mic nights on Sundays are fanfreakintastic. Spread the word and the LOVE, best coffee shop in town.

The tea here is great! Especially if you have them put a little steamed almond milk in it. :)

Parking can be sparse but don’t let that deter you away from coming! Great crepes too!

Greenhouse Effect is a homey, warm, artistic space which allows people of all kinds to feel welcome. Whether you're in and out or choose to spend your day see the coffee shop using their free WiFi, provided board games or to read one of their many books from their bookshelves, this is your place.
They have a wide menu of coffee to choose from (warning: they don't speak "Starbucks"- many of us will appreciate that bit of humor!), as well as crepes of all sorts.
There is plenty of parking around back and if the lot gets full, there is on street parking by the apartments just north and also across the street. Definitely enough parking to go around.
In good weather, you will love the different patios which are surrounded in vines, succulents, and an abundance of sumptuous potted plants. Though Greenhouse Effect sits facing 9th East, you'll never know as it is separated from the traffic by tall boxwood hedges.
They allow smoking on the lower decks but not on the upper deck and because of all the well grown and incredibly tended grape vines, you'll never know anybody is smoking below you if that isn't your thing.
Greenhouse is very pet friendly and puts out several large bowls of ice water around the deck in the summer. They have their own dog on the property nearly all the time.
Greenhouse is like a hidden grotto; a hidden garden; a secret which isn't well kept. The patrons of Greenhouse seem to respect one another and the shop which is provides a great experience for all of us.
The one wish I have is that I was able to capture the scrumptious scent in either words or a photo for you. The smell is... exotic. I smell cinnamon and perhaps a bit of ginger. I thought to ask but decided I like a little mystery in my hidden grotto.

I really enjoyed my visit to Greenhouse! The crépes were fantastic and the service was great. The only thing I struggled with was the lack of air flow. It was pretty warm and muggy inside. But the food made up for the uncomfortable warmth for the most part. I'll be back.

Very cozy - great coffee and crepes! They have a couch and some comfy chairs ypu can use and their outdoor seating is amazing when the weather's nice.

It's groovy. Homemade food, excellent coffee, tried and true menu with many crepe options. Sometimes you can expect a wait, depending on the server and line and time of year. If you're in a hurry, this isn't your vibe.
