Poor Boy 377 Cafe

Stopped in on the way to the Megastar Casino. Good food at a reasonable price. Two things kept me from giving them 5 stars: staff: don’t freak out when there is a spider on the door. Cook: when customers see you throw food the in window and slam the to-go boxes, customers may think you’re throwing their food around too! Will stop by again because the food was good!

The food was decent, but the server got one member of our party (of 4) order wrong. Then it took forever to pay. They couldn't run my card the first time because the credit card machine is on the same line as the phone which rang and interrupted the transaction.

Great place for breakfast and food is outstanding! Service is a little slow but worth the wait.

After waiting for our food for an hour, they only brought part of the order. Part that they did bring included a burger that we watched sit there for at least 20 minutes. We also witnessed someone cooking in the kitchen wipe her nose on her shirt. We decided to send send our food back and leave.. We will not be back.

We waited at door for a couple of minutes before seated. Then waited at least ten minutes for drinks and a high chair for a baby waited for 1 hour and 3 minutes and still no food on our table. The baby started crying and screaming so we ended up leaving unacceptable service the whole time we were seated the waitress never came to see if we needed a refill on our drinks. It should never take that long to receive your food or a check up from the waitres. I do not recommend this place i never leave reviews so you know that this is not a good place to go.

My husband & I have tried this place 2 times going up to the lake. The first time was soon after it opened. The service was horrible ! Ther was no one that waited on us. It took over 45 minutes to get our order In & when we finally got the food, it was cold.

The 2nd time, we had decided to give it another shot, that mabe the issue had been because it was new, but I think not.
It was cluster ! The line to pay at the register is right at the front, blocking the entrance. It looked like a lot of people were sitting waiting for their food.so we just left & went up to Catfish Haven.

I don't think I will give it another try.

Slow service and it wasn't even crowded. Nine tables sat the entire time we were there which was 45 minutes, 30 minutes was waiting on a patty melt and a bacon burger. Let's talk about food quality, poor at best. The burger patties were not fresh but frozen and the fries were under cooked. Twice I watched the cook deliver steaks to a table the go to the prep refrigerator, which is in the dining room, and get the baked potatoe toppers. Using his bare hands he scooped out bacon bits and the cheese placed them in small bowls and took them to a table.. The second time he ran his fingers thru his hair and handled the cheese and bacon without washing his hands. The restaurant was filthy. I checked Grayson County health dept and found this was the ONLY restaurant that failed the recent health inspection. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! LESS THAN MEDIOCRE FOOD QUALITY BUT GREATER THAN AVERAGE CHANCE OF GETTING SICK!
