Poor Boy 377 Cafe

Food was good. not great
service was nice. It was a holiday weekend before the rush, so we will try again.
It was hot outside..101..and warm inside..which i know is a common issue with this weather, but still is worth noting. We loved the pricing of the catfish specials, but it seemed as if they cooked up a bunch in anticipation of a rush, so it wasnt crisp and fresh.

Had a Great!! Dinner last night with the Family.
Some had Breakfast and the rest of us had the Chicken Fried Steak. The Chicken Fried Steak was very good, 2 large pieces. Not too salty either. Very good Baked Potato too. My new favorite place.

Great breakfast! Pancakes are big, biscuits soft & fluffy, bacon & eggs cooked as ordered. Friendly staff. We ate here while visiting family in Whitesboro. Will definitely come back on our next visit to check out the chicken fried steak for dinner!

I had originally given this place a better review. However, I visited a few more times and am not impressed. This place needs a new manager. Highly disorganized. Many people complaining around me. I had reviewed Poor Boy well, but after a few more visits I'm dropping it to a 2. I ordered chili and it was around 70% water. The waitress admitted this was the case and pointed to the kitchen. It was canned chili with water poured into it. It was terrible dripping off the spoon. My family's last visit was for breakfast and it took over 20 minutes to take our order, only after I stopped somebody to ask whether we were going to be served. The server apologized and thought we had already been taken care of. It then took another 45 minutes to get our eggs and pancakes which should not have taken more than 15 to 20 minutes. As I left the place, I could overhear staff complaining about how the customers are seating themselves even though they had removed the sign that said seat yourself, but there was no sign saying wait to be seated. This place will be gone in time and rightfully so.

This cafe is great! Nice atmosphere, friendly people, and the food was excellent. The prices are unbelievable. I couldn't believe how low they were. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. This was our first time and and we will be going back.

Service was slow, had to ask for several items that should have been just served such as dinner salads that came with the meals. Had to ask for salad dressing and go get the steak sauce. The food tasted very good.

Best place in town had a good lunch. Chicken fried steak. So huge and thick, couldn't finish it so ate for dinner. Awesome and reasonable priced. Pleasant staff.

The food is good if you ever get it. The wait has always been ridiculous, but this time we left after 40 minutes with no food. I asked about the wait and got no apology or explanation. Won't be going back, even though it's very close to where I live. Catfish Haven is just as good (costs more) and not much further.

They boast the best Chicken Fried Steak I'm Texas, and it might be. It was delicious! They have breakfast all day, and they also do a mean biscuits and gravy.

Country meals are the Best! Community, friends, neighbors and peaceful environment.
Everyone helps each other. Prices are excellent!😋😋 Have to visit friends in businesses to help and they give you country meals. Never disappointed.
