I had the crepes, Mixed berry && pecan. This was my first time to try a crepe && if this what they are supposed to taste like it will definitely be my last time. Wow. It was like a slimy piece of rubber. No flavor at all. And the mixed berry was just blueberries and whole, almost raw, cranberries. They were just sat inside with chopped up pecans. It was terrible. My friend had a pretty basic breakfast with a pancake. There was just no taste in anything. The coffee was the best part. Service was slow. Most likely will not be returning.

Thought it would be good to try somewhere else for Breakfast other than the hotel. This place was packed, we arrived at 10:15 and was finally seated by 10:45! Remember to put your name down on the waiting list as soon as you arrive! Plenty of choices, coffee was nice (pretty sweet in taste without sugar). The serving sizes are HUGE but good value for money! I had the banana nut French toast and mixed berry and nut pancake and I couldn't finish it - hit my sugar limit. I'll try a healthier option next time. My advice would be to get there early on a Sunday as I think the majority of the crowd were post-church-goers. Service was lacking a bit, nothing to rave about, but I will give them a second chance and try this place next weekend! Good local crowd though!

A Waco classic that is a must try for breakfast and brunch. While I was at Baylor it was always a treat to grab a bite to eat at Cafe Capp, and even now when I come back the experience never disappoints. The restaurant is the definition of local, and while it may not be the most trendy, or be owned by Chip and Jo, it is going to give you delicious food with great service, and a true Waco experience.

Best gluten free pancakes I've had in the nine years since I was diagnosed with Celiac disease! My husband and I had terrific breakfast here, and we definitely will come back the next time we are in Waco. Bright contemporary decor, super clean, and nice staff. We walked from our hotel near the convention center - so glad we did!

If this business were in any other city, it would have closed long ago. I feel like I'm in a episode of Kitchen Nightmares, and I keep expecting Gordon Ramsey to burst in through the kitchen.
The food is decent (the pancakes are delicious), but this business makes so many odd decisions that I can't fathom why people keep coming here. The prices are all over the place and the service has been consistently awful.
There is always a wait at Cafe Cappuccino, which is odd because there are always available tables; they just aren't being used. They say you can call to reserve a table, but when you do the phone is on hold. Then when you do sit down, you have to wait an extra ten minutes for your server to come over.
We went today to get a few pancakes and wanted to split them. We were told that to get two plates it would cost an extra dollar! Not if we split a meal, but if we want an extra plate!
Don't waste your time with this place; it isn't worth the terrible service for some mediocre (and often cold) food.

Love this place so much! My friend and I visit here early mornings every week, and I love how friendly the staff is even at 6:30am. Not to mention they have the BEST pancakes! 20/10 recommend!

Had a not-so-great experience at Cafe Cappuccino. Had to ask a second time for our coffee after they forgot about our order. My wife's food had 2 very long hairs in it. Coffee is so-so, not great. Nice decor and a fun local place. We just had a bad experience.

Horrible experience this morning. Waited 45 minutes & was not put on the list originally. (Took the fault for that one) waited & waited. Asked once how much longer was told I was 3rd in line at that point. 5 more groups went in, finally the “owner” as he claimed Dale acted like he could care less. Horrible horrible customer service.

Came here for lunch with my wife (we only had an hour), we waited at the front with 4 other small groups for 20 minutes while staring at clean available tables of all sizes before the hostess started seating any of us (her reason for seating no-one was that she was trying to seat in order and she was waiting for them to be wiped down). We ended up having to walk out because it was already 12:30 and we hadn’t seen our waitress to order. The food is good, because I’ve eaten here before around breakfast time, but it must be a different set of staff in the mornings. (This was the downtown location on 6th). Not a 1-star because their breakfast is amazing.
If you are on any sort of time crunch I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

Ate here this morning. We sat with our empty water glasses and watched seven employees standing behind the bar doing literally nothing and also the two hostesses standing four feet from us as they clearly saw our empty glasses because I watched them look at our glasses multiple times. Our waitress came up to us and asked if we were doing okay and we just stared at her like "you really don't see we have NOTHING to drink as we're eating our meal?" She smiled and walked off. I then went to the bar and asked a young boy if we could have some water. With a VERY confused look on his face he reached down to turn on the SINK WATER which he then filled our glasses with and the hot water melted what little ice we had left. I asked him if he's going to fill our glasses with sink water could he at least put some ice in there for us and he said he couldn't put it in the glass and he'd have to give us a separate glass to put the ice in. WHAT?! I've been a waitress for 8 years and I have never been so dumbfounded at what I experienced. A total of 9 employee's standing around doing absolutely nothing and I had to get up to get my own refills to get hot sink water?? I was waiting to see if we were on a prank TV show at that point. It is quite hilarious that they call themselves a restaurant. My two year old daughter could've given me better service. I will not be going back to the downtown location EVER.
