Lovely place!! This is my new favorite place to grab coffee with a pastry. Great atmosphere and staff is wonderful. Free wifi, many seating options and if you dine in wonderful staff bring your items to you. I recommend 100%

My daughter and I were just out exploring to find a coffee house near us that was not a chain or franchise and came across this gem. Looks to be a great hangout for students of nearby Temple college to study. Love the individual rooms and fireplace.

I love to go to the 1914 Coffee House. It's like going to a bar, but more wholesome. I've met quite a few people there, and all the baristas are very nice, and Simone is an excellent ambassador for the place. You dont have to feel shy about walking in there; she'll make you feel at home. The 1914 coffee is my favorite choice, and the whipped cream is like no other you've tasted - kind of coconut like. It's crowded on a rainy day so umbrellas over the outside tables would be perfect!

Nice, laid back atmosphere. Greeted with a smile and my friends a hug. Coffee and teas were great! The breads were fresh and enjoyed with a good coffee. I enjoyed their cold brew!

Charming local place. I love the vibe-you can feel the lightness, peace, love. ☀️Customer service excellent.☀️Chocolate chip cookies amazing-perfect. Good coffee, spicy not too sweet chai. Matcha was way too sweet and could not taste the actual tea -more like super sugar milk (I could not finish), but everything else…on par. 🌻Open later-a HUGE plus! I always find myself humming and smiling to the music. ✨ Isaiah 40:31 lives here. Good place with good people.

Super cute and quaint house with friendly staff and great coffee and pastries! The lemon blueberry muffin is definitely a favorite. And the dirty iced chai is amazing!

1914 Coffee House is a calm and relaxing place to work, study, read, and, of course, drink coffee. The staff are always friendly and patient with customers needing time to decide on what to order. The baked goods are always fresh and come in sharable sizes.

Great coffee and relaxing atmosphere. There was plenty of seating for our group of 5. We tried several different coffees, cruffins and freshly baked cookies - all were awesome.

2 stars for the ambience. People (employees) are too up-tight. They're young so that was surprising. Typically, young people are friendly and full of energy. I ordered a special drink it was basically a cup of crushed ice. Therefore, way overly priced for a "cup of ice".

RUDE AND INEXPERIENCED
I took my four-year-old daughter in because 1914 looked like a lovely place to have some afternoon tea. The young man at the counter took my order. He seemed inexperienced but polite nonetheless. We were happy with our order but the grasshopper energy drink was not my cup of tea. Pun intended. This is where the rudeness started. The lady with the short black hair gave me eye rolls galore and brisk movements when asked to remake the drink. It was so awkward and uncomfortable for me to have my daughter witness that I packed our things and left.
We will not be back
