The Grind Coffee & Cafe

I mean this will all kindness. I really hoped this would be a healthy local coffee shop like Austin or in the EU. I feel very frustrated that I cannot support local business as I hoped to.

For those who go for healthy and organic ingredients, beware of what they are actually using. Their menu does not match what they actually use. I spoke with the manager, but she told me that they had to stop using many organic ingredients because of the cost. While I deeply understand this struggle, especially with COVID, they still are legally obligated to be transparent about what ingredients are being used for the safety and trust of their customers.

The manager told me they were in the process of getting new menus, but it has been at least two months that they have been using different ingredients than those that are stated on their menu.

I sincerely hope they return to using quality, non-gmo, organic ingredients. However, I understand the lack of demand in San Angelo for organic quality food. At the very least, I hope The Grind will do the honorable thing and be transparent with their customers.

With everything going on in the world, what we need now is more honesty. More transparency — even if it’s disappointing. I sincerely hope The Grind can become a leader in this movement towards a transparency, especially in business.

Little on the pricey side, but to be fair all of their product is shipped from other states. Excellent New York bagels. Could use some more tables since they stay busy,and a big sign outside.

i love the vibe here— the friendly customer service, the Weeknd & Bruno heavy playlist, all of the beverage options. this was a perfect little spot i accidentally ran into yet spent hours at on this rainy saturday morning. yep, reminds me of home (Austin).

the only critique i have is to ease up on the cream cheese on the bagels: cheese cheese shouldn’t be caked on, but merely an accent to the pastry (or perhaps ask customers the level of cheese they’d like— light, mid or heavy). also, a $10 bagel with lox should be kindly presented on the plate— open-faced perhaps? just a suggestion. other than that, i loved it here! good vibes all around!

Really like the decor of this coffee shop; it makes it feel cozy! It is on the pricey side, like most places downtown. I wish it was less noisy (blenders) to have a decent conversation. But I looove the Reese's Frappe! 😍

Absolutely NEVER gets online orders right. Every single time they've messed up my order. I'll be taking my business to better shops in town like buttercup and bearded barista. For God's sake hire people that know how to read.

Cold brew is good.

The atmosphere is nice and it’s pretty. It’s good to see a modern and hip cafe serving healthy options. The price is reasonable for healthy options. My drink was the dirty chai but it wasn’t my favorite because it was pretty watery. I would recommend they change the chai mix to big train chai which a cafe I used to work at used and it was delicious. I would not order the chai. I want to try just the latte but I’m nervous that will be watery as well.

This is a very nice place to grab some fresh coffee ☕ you can taste the freshness 🥰very good 🤩 very reasonable price and bonus because they make it all in front of you and fresh highly recommend

Very nice friendly people. DELICIOUS frappes. Relaxing atmosphere. A bit of a wait for coffee and food BUT ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!

Coffee taste great, but I waited 15 minutes for them to start mine. Everyone me who came in before and after me got all of their drinks and food. After 15 minutes of focusing on everyone else my drink was started and done in 5 minutes. I can't seem to understand why mine couldn't be done inbetween. Great coffee bad service. 👎🏾
