Went into Shipley’s at 7 am and the only glazed donuts that were available were cold/old donuts. Never been to a Shipley’s where they didn’t have hot fresh glazed donuts in the morning. Not returning.

I'll have to check it out and see what I like the most.

We have a shipleys where I’m from and the donuts are made fresh daily and are delicious!! THIS PLACE is a disgrace to the Shipley name. My donuts were old and shriveled up. And this was at 7 am. Will not be back.

Never have any donuts ready when y’all are opened and/or the card reader is down and I only carry my card with me. It’s something each time… I’ll just stick to the local donut shops instead.

I remember the Days of being in San Diego California missing the heck out of Shipley Donuts. One of the first things I did when I got Home was go there, this was almost 5 Years ago and I still love them. The Lufkin Store not so much though, I think they changed the Recipe or something. Shipley's in Nacogdoches has the best Donuts though as far as I'm concerned there's no competition.
As of April 2019, I stand corrected, it’s not the same Recipe. The new Location is nicer, but the Donuts are just mediocre. At one time I could only eat half of A Cinnamon Twist or Roll and get full, smaller portions for the exact same price. Shipley in Nacogdoches has definitely dropped the Ball. Rehire your Bakers because the new Bakers suck.

Let me first start off by saying that the donuts here are excellent however the service this morning was terrible. I asked if they had any of my husband’s favorite kind of doughnut in the back ( because it’s Father’s Day and I was picking up donuts for my family) and the first thing out of her mouth is the fact that the other two employees that were supposed to be working there with her had left early and left her with everything to do and so she had so much to do and that she hadn’t had time to bake them. I then asked her if they were baked and just not filled? or if they hadn’t even been baked yet? and she said that they hadn’t been filled. So I asked if she would be able to fill one (Which has never been an issue in all of my years going to Shipley’s) and she rolled her eyes let out a big sigh and again told me that she had so much to do and that the guys had left early and that she guessed she could fill some and then snapped at me how many did you want. Keep in mind there is not a single customer in line behind me at this point) so then I asked her if she had some chocolate donuts also that while she was filling those if she could fill a chocolate donut for me as well (so it wouldn’t be an inconvenience for her to only be filling one doughnut) I asked her to fill the chocolate donut with the same white cream that she was filling the other ones with and again she rolled her eyes and sighed and she came back with two donuts filled with the Chocolate pudding cream (not even what I had asked for) so when I saw the mistake I knew that she was already upset and behind because she had been left there by herself so I didn’t ask her to fix it (because she made me feel bad for even asking for them in the first place) so instead of asking her to fix the problem I asked her to add two chocolate donuts to the bag which she then proceeded to belittle me in front of the customers that were now behind me and make me feel bad for not telling her the number of donuts that I was going to be getting so that she could get the proper size box/bag. All the while with you guessed it tons of heavy sighing and Eye rolling. Then had to remind her about the kolaches that I had ordered because she had forgotten about them. so then once she got the Kolaches I was so ready at this point to be done with the entire conversation that I forgot to even get the milk for my husband and daughter and there are at least 3 to 4 people behind me in line now as well as a local church who had come in and had not gotten their order and it was apparently late. I tried to call back the store so that I could talk to the owner or manager who I believe was in the store at the time but never could get anyone on the phone. As a fellow local business owner I am appalled at the service and if any of my employees had acted the way that she had this morning they would be on some sort of probation terminated, or at the least I would’ve stepped in had I heard how she was talking to the customer. I am in the service industry so I was trying to be very polite and very patient with the girl and she was not giving me anything but attitude and rudeness. When you’re in the service industry Regardless of how the customer asks you - you should never make them feel bad for what they are ordering and if you didn’t ask them the proper questions that you needed to ask you should never make them feel bad for what they are ordering (like the box size or how many donuts they wanted to begin with) your poor training, time management skills, or staffing issues is not the customers problem. I came there because shipleys has excellent donuts and some of our favorite flavors in town but they have possibly lost a loyal customer now. I will gladly change my review once I can speak to an owner or manager and see some sort of an improvement in customer service

Having grown up in Nacogdoches in the 1970s Shipley Do-Nuts has always been a go to when I return to visit New location has awful donuts. Stingy on the filling and not the same at all!

Lost me as a customer, the first visit was horrible, employee informed me that it would take 10 min for apple fritters to be done so I paid and happily waited for 15 min with my 16 month old son, informed them that I was going to to return after taking care of business right down the street, I returned 10 min later and noticed no apple fritters on the shelf, I set in my truck another 5 min and went inside, employee informed me in would be another 10 min, I got my money back and left, decided to give them a second chance and man was that a mistake, milk was warm and my so called "Cherry Filled" pastry was nowhere near "filled" as advertised, over half of the doughnut was eaten before the filling was reached and all the other doughnuts were not fresh, note that this is 0630hrs , of all the doughnut business in Nacogdoches you'd think that customer satisfaction would be a key role in this type of business, apparently this is not the case at Shipley on North Street
