MoonBeans Coffee

Amazing cold brew coffee. They take they're drinks seriously. Some of the best coffee I have. The atmosphere is perfect for studying hanging out, dating, relaxing with friends, or just flying solo. Great drinks and pastries and the staff are fun and friendly. The proximity to the park behind it make it both romantic and relaxing fun experience. If you don't know where to start the day, make this your first stop you may find yourself hanging out here or nearby for a while.

Coffee is always great! Have been having their coffee for 14 years. Their new location has a funky urine smell though. Maybe it's because it used to be a club. Made it a little difficult to enjoy the coffee inside.

I've been going to Moonbeans for over a decade, when it was in its old location before renovating. I now visit every time I visit McAllen.

I visited them in their new location over a year ago. The old black paint from the prior business (I assume a club) made it seem dark and bleak, but I didn't hold it against Moonbeans. I assumed renovations take time.

A year later, it seems like renovations are starting, and that's the big reason for my rating.

While working from there, a contractor started hammering out the ceiling in one corner. The owner of Moonbeans was there, directing him what to do. No notification, no heads up, no concern for the customers in the cafe. I get it's a business and renovations need to be made, but if you can't do them before or after hours, you can't give your customers a heads up at least?

The service is slower, the location still feels grimy. I was going back out of nostalgia, but I don't think I'll return in the future.

I went in thought the place was nice. Sat down 0 outlets for my computer. Didn’t think much about it. Ended up getting a coffee sitting down got my computer out. Took my mask off about 20 minutes goes by. Some random person I’m assuming owner or worker came up to me and told me I have to have my mask on while being inside. Let me just note that this place sells various items to eat as well. I’m just confused how you eat and drink your coffee with a mask on? Can someone explain that to me? Anyways I politely said yes immediately got my stuff and will never be coming back. No other restaurant or coffee shop has ever allowed me to go inside their place of business and sit down and require me to have a mask as I eat and drink my meal.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops whenever I'm in town. I don't order any of their concocted drink (even if they sounds amazing) but my boring double lattes are smooth and made expertly. I like the community table, whether it's just me or 5 of us.

Amazing coffee shop. Great service very helpful if it's your first time and need recommendations, forgot the name of my coffee but it had condensed milk and it was awesome(recommended by burista) huge outdoor sitting and inside too.

I only come here for their london fog, since I can find it nowhere else in the RGV. It's lovely!Not a big coffee drinker, so can't speak to that, but I do love sweet, baked goods, and they offer decent choices 😏.There's a nice patio that's nice in cooler weather or if you don't like the usually crowded and buzzing indoors.

Very overpriced.. $7 for a bland overly sweet coffee. Rude service as well. They're also doing construction so it is very loud & unpleasant.

Great place to read and study, lots of space and tables inside and out

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in the Valley. Top-notch coffee, relaxing atmosphere, and classics + creative drinks to try. Their new location is right across the street from the old one -- a bit hard to find, but don't panic if you see the empty building in their old location!
